WHAT'S THAT "MUSIC WITHIN"?

Articulus Entertainment and Quorum Entertainment have teamed up to produce the independent feature film, “Music Within”, a drama based on the life of Richard Pimentel, a disabled Vietnam vet, currently shooting in Portland, Oregon and Subic Bay, Philippines.

“Music Within” will be the first co-production of Steven Sawalich, founder of Articulus Entertainment, who will also direct and Brett Donowho, founder of Quorum Entertainment. Written by Bret McKinney & Mark Andrew Olsen and Kelly Kennemer, “Music Within” will follow the true story of Richard Pimental, a severely hearing-impaired Vietnam vet who finds a new purpose as a brilliant motivational speaker and in his landmark efforts on behalf of Americans with disabilities. Actor Ron Livingston (“Office Space,” “Band of Brothers”) will play the courageous Richard Pimentel.

Rounding out the all star cast include Melissa George (“Derailed”), Michael Sheen (“Underworld”), co-stars Yul Vazquez (“War of the Worlds”), Ridge Canipe (“Walk the Line”), Rebecca De Mornay (“Risky Business”), Hector Elizondo (“Princess Diaries 1, 2”).

Articulus and Quorum have two other features in development as co-productions. “The Octopus”, written by Colet Abedi & Jasmine Abedi is the next project the duo will make together and Brett Donowho will take the directing duties this summer 2006 with Steven Sawalich and Frank Vitolo producing.

Steven Sawalich of Articulus Entertainment has been the Director of Creative Affairs for the Starkey Hearing Foundation since 1997 and has personally gone on over 20 missions with the foundation and has traveled the globe extensively documenting the smiles on children’s face who have just received the gift of sound. His work has helped raise over $10 million for charity foundations across the globe. Sawalich has produced and directed numerous events honoring Sir Elton John, Garth Brooks and Rod Stewart to name a few. He has filmed over 15 documentaries around the world from Vietnam to South Africa.

Quorum Entertainment founder, Brett Donowho is a former agent turned manager who also launched Insight Entertainment Group, a management company under whose banner he co-founded Bri Leigh Records, a record label owned by Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys. Donowho produced the critically acclaimed short film “There’s Something About Meryl” which was an official selection at over 10 international film festivals and was associate producer of “Getting Played” starring Vivica A. Fox.
