By Film Threat Staff | May 15, 2001

Be a part of film history. The Silver Lake Film Festival runs from [ September 20th ] through [ September 23rd, 2001 ] in lovely Silver Lake, CA. (in Los Angeles). They’re looking for a few good film fiends to assist with marketing, administration, programming, and events for the 2001 Fest. If you’re in the area and have some time to share, call [ (323) 221-1763 ] and see what you can do.
A bit about the Festival, which is about to celebrate its 2nd birthday:
“The Silver Lake Film Festival proudly embraces the work of alternative filmmakers. Indeed, non-mainstream and experimental film and video — features, shorts and documentaries — will be the festival’s focus. A programming goal is to provide access to films that would not otherwise be readily available to the public. A complementary goal is to select films that can serve as platform for the celebration of other arts.”
For all volunteer details, and a look at last year’s hits, check out the SLFF site , which will also include a list of this year’s film selections soon.
