THE SACRAMENTO FILM & MUSIC FESTIVAL CALLS FOR SUBMISSIONS

By Film Threat Staff | February 26, 2003

The Sacramento Film & Music Festival is now accepting film and video submissions for its 2003 festival. The festival, which has showcased over 100 films along with 19 live music performances, will take place the second weekend of August at the historic Crest Theatre in downtown Sacramento. Screenings will be both competition and non-competition, along with special screenings for locally produced material.
The deadline for all submissions is June 16th, 2003. For selection and programming consideration, the festival accepts ½” VHS (not BetaSP) videocassette transfers and DVD. If a submitted film originated as a 16mm or 35mm print and is selected, the festival will then require that optimal format for presentation. Please note that if your film originated or was post-produced on digital video, send only a VHS copy for selection purposes.
For submission purposes, festival programmers will consider films submitted before completion (i.e., rough cuts, Avid outputs, temporary sound mixes, etc.). However, programmers will not consider trailers or other promotional videos for selection purposes.
The entry fee for films under 60 minutes (shorts) is $20. The entry fee for films 60 minutes and over (features) is $30.
