THE RETURN OF VARNEY!

By Stephanie Donnelly | September 2, 2000

Jim Varney is back! “Blood, Friends and Money,” a new Nashville-based film from [ Venice Film Merchants ] , features the late comedian Jim Varney (“Ernest,” “Toy Story,” “The Beverly Hillbillies”) and will see release at Regal Cinemas in Green Hills, TN. on September 15th. “Blood, Friends and Money” was written and co-produced by Tim Ormond, whose family has had a hand in the creation of cult classic B movies.
This film is one of only two features including Varney that have not yet hit screens. The other is Billy Bob Thornton’s forthcoming “Daddy and Them”. Varney, a long-time supporter of indie filmmaking, graciously gave his talents and energy to the “Blood, Friends and Money” team, thus the crew were “determined to see this film get a theatrical release.”
