“The Love Ballad Of Scarab Hack” is a “cute” horror film. Scarab Hack is a not so attractive troll that lives in the modern world, spending most her time with her cat and her fellow trolls. Scarab sits on her front porch jealously watching couples in love frolic down her street. One day Scarab comes up with a plan to get the man of her dreams, a plan that involves black magic.
Needless to say, as in the matters of love, be it human to human, troll to human, or troll to troll things never work out the way the way they should. Scarab’s plans get completely screwed up and much to her dismay she may never be alone again.
