THE FANDOM MENACE A BIG WINNER

By Film Threat Staff | September 26, 2001

Jeff Cioletti’s documentary “Millennium’s End: The Fandom Menace” took home the top prize at the Matters of the Force Fan Film Festival this past weekend at DragonCon.
The documentary won two awards: Best Overall Film and Best Documentary. Cioletti was awarded a MoviePack video editing software suite and a voucher for a free DVD transfer from Acid DVD. Fans attending the convention had the opportunity to vote for their favorite films.
“It’s gratifying to know that Star Wars fans have responded favorably to the documentary,” Cioletti said. “It makes me realize I’ve accomplished what I set out to do more than four years ago: create a film about fans, by a fan, for fans.”
