"THE BALLET MECHANIQUE" SCREENS IN AUSTIN

On [ Sunday, September 24th at 7:00 pm ] , the Austin Cinemaker Co-op will present Fernand Leger’s “The Ballet Mechanique” in a free screening at the ACA Gallery in the ArtPlex, 1705 Guadalupe, in Austin, TX.
“Ballet Mechanique” is a collaboration between French painter Leger and composer George Anthiel, and is a blend of atonal music, jazz, and the sounds of the industrial age combined with visuals to represent motion and macchination. The film is 19 minutes long and has 7 “parts” that vary in speed and tone.
