It’s sort-of hard to sum up the magic that is the 1976 feature “The Bad News Bears”. It’s definitely a kids movie…with some drinking and swearing thrown in. The film’s tagline does a decent job of explaining the “Bears” mystique: “The coach is waiting for his next beer. The pitcher is waiting for her first bra. The team is waiting for a miracle. Consider the possibilities.”
“The Bad News Bears” will screen this [ Saturday, January 6th ] at [ 10AM ] as a part of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Children First program.
