THE AMERICAN CINEMATHEQUE’S 70MM SALUTE

By Film Threat Staff | September 13, 2002

The American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theatre presents the 3rd Great Big 70 MM Festival, September 26 -28, 2002. This semi-annual series is a very rare opportunity to experience 70 MM as it was meant to be seen: on a big, beautiful screen, with booming, 6-track multi-channel sound.
Newly restored and getting its proper 70mm treatment this time around are Richard Brooks’ “Lord Jim,” “Patton,” “Hello Dolly!” and an encore of “2001: A Space Odyssey!”
For screening times, visit the American Cinematheque website.
