THE AMERICAN CINEMATHEQUE PRESENTS AN ANIME INVASION

On May 2 – 15, at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, the American Cinematheque will present the first annual L.A. Anime Festival. Featured in the festival’s impressive program are the U.S. Premieres of the latest Studio Ghibli feature “THE CAT RETURNS,” the mondo-insane “TAMALA 2010 A PUNK CAT IN SPACE,” the lovely fable “PRINCESS ARETE,” the long-awaited 3-part anthology film “MEMORIES,” and Miramax Films’ “POKEMON 5.”
Also being shown in the festival will be all nine episodes of The Animatrix, shown for the first time anywhere.
