TEXAS FILM FUND WINNERS

The Austin Film Society took a whopping $50,000 and dished out grants ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 for 11 special filmmakers who all hail from the big, weirdly shaped state. Of the 155 entrants, 92 were from college town Austin.
The winners, by Texas region, are:

Bike Like You Mean It! ^ Susan Kirr ^ 60 minute documentary ^ $5,000 post-production
Untitled ^ Sara Mayer ^ 16 minute narrative ^ $5,000 post-production/distribution
Beelzebub’s Bathtub ^ Andre Silva ^ 14 minute animation/experimental ^ $5,000 production
My Neighborhood ^ Meredith Decotiis Szypula ^ 25 minute experimental ^ $5,000 production/post-production
Suddenly It Rained ^ Timothy Wilkerson ^ 10 minute animation/experimental narrative ^ $5,000 post-production
Girl Wrestler ^ Diane Zander ^ 45 minute animation/documentary ^ $5,000 production
[ Houston ] ^ Lone Stars ^ Gary L. Watson ^ 2 minute documentary ^ $5,000 production/post-production
[ San Antonio ] ^ Skinhead Patrol ^ Adam Robinette ^ 50-60 minute documentary/narrative ^ $2,500 post-production
