TEXAS DOES TEXAS AT THE AURORA PICTURE SHOW

By Film Threat Staff | October 25, 2000

On [ Saturday, November 18th ] at [ 7 and 9PM ] , the Dallas Video Festival slides into the Aurora Picture Show of Houston for a night of short films made in Texas by Texans. Aside from California and New York, the acknowledged headquarters of film, Texas pulls one of the stronger showings in festival after festival, and their indie legacy is only growing through the years.
The Dallas Video Festival brings a lot of variety from just one state to Aurora. On the bill are “Cookie Cutter Master” by Jose Lauro Mata, “I Am Scorpio” by David Nelson, and “Me, I Cry” by Mary Ellen Lacy, with many others. In the name of community, the environment, and tricky parking, the Aurora Picture Show also encourages car pooling. To find out more about the “Texas Show,” see the [ Aurora Picture Show site. ]
