TEMECULA WINNERS 2000

Victories abounded at the 6th Annual Temecula Valley International Film Festival. The Festival itself shattered previous attendance records, and the individual winners in each Festival category represent a wide berth of nationalities, genres, and worldviews. This year’s winners are:
[ Best Picture: ] ^ “Bread and Roses” ^ Director Ken Loach; writer Paul Laverty; producers Ulrich Felsberg and Rebecca O’Brien.
[ Best Foreign Film: ] ^ “Best” ^ Director Mary McGukian; writers Mary McGukian and John Lynch; producers Mary McGukian, Chris Roff, and Elvira Bolz.
[ Best Short Film: ] ^ “Odessa” ^ Director/writer/producer Amy Lyndon
[ Best Student Film: ] ^ “Thursday Afternoon” ^ Director/writer Clay Westervelt; producer Rashel Mereness.
[ Best Documentary: ] ^ “Up Syndrome” ^ Director/writer Duane Graves; producer Lisa Moreno.
