TANAREXIA

By Mark Bell | November 6, 2008

“Tanarexia” tells the hybrid narrative-mockumentary tale of Johnny, a young man addicted to tanning. Of course, Johnny has never been to the beach and instead is a weekly visitor to the local tanning salon. Then, one day, Johnny’s life is shattered by the closing of said salon. And that’s it.

This film simply wasn’t really up my alley. The acting is sub-par, the plot… I’m sure there’s a statement in there about the personal values of one’s life obsessions, whether they be tanning, movies or anything, but overall I just found the short uninteresting and easily forgettable.
