SUNDANCE CALLS ‘EM IN FOR 2003

Wanna take a vacation in Park City, Utah this January? Might as well bring along your film as well, right? Sundance has just announced their early call for submissions into the Sundance Film Festival, which will run from January 16-26. Completed American and international feature films may be submitted by July 26, 2002 for early consideration and a reduced submission fee of $35. For the first time, submission forms can be completed directly online at the Sundance Institute website at www.sundance.org.

Regular deadlines to submit films for the 2003 Sundance Film Festival are:

Short Films – September 27, 2002 ^ American Features – October 4, 2002 ^ International Features – October 11, 2002

The Independent Feature Film Competition is open to independently produced dramatic and documentary feature-length films. In order to be eligible for competition, entries must be U.S. premieres, have at least 50% U.S. financing, and must have been completed after October 2001. The running time for dramatic features must be no less than 70 minutes, and documentary features must be no less than 50 minutes. All films submitted for the Independent Feature Film Competition are also considered for participation in American Spectrum, Frontier, Native Forum, and Park City at Midnight.
