SUBSIDIZED FATE

By Megan Ford | March 20, 2004

I loved this short. There was a CG environment with a 2D character(which is a smart idea because usually CG characters look and move like crap). Now it’s this kid walking down a street in a world riddled with signs dictating their every action. You can relate, right? “Walk/Don’t walk”, “No trespassng”, “You’ll love our burgers! They’re dripping with fat juice!!!”
So, this kid sees a sign pointing to a house that says “break in”. By following these evil neon signs he ends up brutalizing an old man in bed and getting arrested by the cops. This was a totally clever, funny and sharply animated short. I loved it.
