“Stuck” is a cute short film with a sharp, sinister edge (and luscious sepia-toned imagery). Two ladies in their eighties – first we think they’re sisters, only to realize later they’re lovers – set out in a pickup truck, on the way to a bingo match. A little girl gets in the way, and ends up under the truck. The “top” of the pair uses the accident as an excuse to berate her long-suffering partner, who sits and takes the abuse…but only for so long. There’s not much of a payoff at the end of the journey, but you could be stuck in worse places for 7 minutes.
