Have you read the reviewer on Ebert’s site who sees the Nazis in Cate Shortland’s latest film, LORE, as “stand-ins” for Americans and equates the U.S. war on terror with the holocaust? I think there ought to be a conversation about this. If someone said those things in a rap lyric, they’d be pop culture pariahs from TMZ to Entertainment Tonight.
