SMACKERS

By Amy Scott | September 16, 2001

“Smackers” is an eighty two second time capsule of chicks in Junior High. It moves so fast you don’t see the joke coming and when it gets there, if you already knew it , you don’t even care the delivery is so spot-on. Brilliant color, perfect cinematography, smart soundtrack. Second time director Tara Miele (her other film is the short MIss GENTILBELLE) tells a better story in less than 2 minutes than many big time directors try to tell in 120. If all shorts were this good I’d go to those lame shorts festivals… But they ain’t and I won’t so until you wise up and stop I suggest you go wherever you can find Smackers playing so at least you’ll get one laugh of the evening.
