SLUSHO.JP??

By Felix Vasquez Jr. | July 10, 2007

Apparently this website advertising Slusho, featured inconspicuously in the trailer reveals some clue to the monster:

http://www.slusho.jp/

I’m currently going through all of the pages.

Inform me if I miss something…

people are still debating this cthulu thing?

  2. ady says:

    TAGRUATO AND SLUSHO ARE RELATED.
FOUNDER OF TAGRUATO IS GANU, THE SON OF THE FOUNDER OF SLUSHO. COINCIDENCE?

  3. ady says:

    *NOT RELATED TO CLOVERFIELD*
if Cthulu was real he would be close enough to easter island to move the heads there also all the buildings are large and elaborate in R’lyeh like the heads

  4. ady says:

definitely not Cthulu, because if it was wouldn’t one of the tagruato drilling sites be near the “location” of R’lyeh?
also i think tagruato.jp has more information than slusho.jp cause slusho has us running around in circles

  5. ady says:

i dialed the number from tagruato.jp and the number cannot be dialed voice came up but it was different and at the end it said 029T

  6. ady says:

on slushozoom.com it has two dates 1/18/08 and 12/11/07
if you got wikipedia and type in december 11 and goto events and in 2007 “TWO” car bombs went off killin 45 people.
    11+18(the dates)=30
    8+7(the years)=15
    30+15=45
also slushozoom.com says “There is more than One.”
also there’s a quiz for cloverfield that asks something about the cando event, where people in spain saw a fireball moving very slowly for 1 minute. this happened on, you guessed it 1-18-94. 3 months later they found the crash site a perfectly smooth landing with no destruction to nearby land. coincidence?
the person on the roof says “the myth”
the honey in the recipe could possibly come from some undersea “Cloverfield”?
anyone think there’s a connection between teddy from the teddy site and the bear on slusho.jp

  7. reality deviant says:

Another interesting thought or theory, although I doubt its anywhere near correct. Anyone familiar with White Wolf games? They published a game called Vampire: The Masquarade which included several gaming books dealing with clans of vampires living in the modern world. These clans were founded by ancient vampires from biblical times who were almost as powerful as gods. After ages they died or hid themselves away to sleep for thousands of years. But it was foretold that someday they would rise again and devour their childer.

One of these Antedeluvians(it means predating the great flood), as the ancient vampires are called, is of particular interest. The founder of the clan Tzimice was a master of an obscure power known as viscisitude, or skin craft, giving him complete mastery over his own or any creature with viscisitude in their bloods very flesh. He could create monsters or become one at will. It was also said that he could take over anyone or anything that had use of its gift, or call them back to himself to be consumed. In the time of judgment book(the bookthat ended the game) one of the primary themes was the body of this horrible being awakening underneath Manhattan island. It had mutated and change over the years into a horriffying nightmare of tentacles and pincers and horrifying limbs. It was like an underground sky scraper and began calling all those with viscisitude back to it to be devoured, all those that were left were used as food.

Pretty crazy huh? I doubt its a white wolf movie, but figured you might find it interesting.

  8. reality deviant says:

First off Id like to state that I highly doubt the monster will be either Godzilla or Cthulhu. First off the damn creator has stated that this will be an ORIGINAL monster, I believe the guy might leave misleading hints, but straight out lie to us I doubt. I think the guy who talks about the primordial organisms, one aggressive, one passive definately makes the most sense to me. The people drink slusho, which uses the passive organism as a benificial parasite that after six drinks fully infests the body. When enough people have drank it the aggressive organism wakes up, and goes after its choice prey, which is now found primarily in people, so guess who it goes after? Hence the quote on Slusho.jp about “Slusho is people”. It sounds reasonable that the organism found in japan was the passive one, when they drilled at the site near New York they found the aggressive one. This just makes the most sense to me. Another post says that the ooze from the monster is what infects people. The ooze is probably the actually the aggresive organism bleeding from its hosts body, when it comes into contact with someone who has drank Slusho more than 6 times, it attacks the passive organisms in the hosts body, causing terrible side effects, eventually causeing them to burst as in the trailer.

But I also noticed that no one has posted on here in weeks, so have we already figured out what it is? If not does anyone agree with my theory?

  9. dylan says:

i think slusho is godzilla poop..or nut
    how bout you?

  10. JackJack says:

at the tagruato website, if you go to the deep sea drilling section and open the interactive map, it shows all the areas that the company has drilling stations. The one that is in the atlantic ocean closest to new york is the only one still in the works and has the most people working at it. it interested me at least.

  11. DW says:

If during the last 12 hours i was lookin at other sites for more information, i read the 1-18-08news site supposed total movie review, and he ened with a comment about the tagruato company being tainted. Well i looked under the press releases area——–

Tagruato CEO to be honored at Pacific Oil Conference
Tagruato CEO Ganu Yoshida will leave the Pacific Oil Conference this year with more than just a belly full of gourmet hors d’oeuvres. He will be honored with the Khodorkovsky Award for innovation. The award is a long time coming. Ganu’s introduction of the Tagruato deep sea drilling techniques has revolutionized off-shore drilling, and has put his company on the brink of mega success.

Ganu will accept the award at a gala ceremony on the conference’s final day. “I have to give a speech,” commented Ganu. “They hope for me to tell my secrets. They will get none.”

The POC takes place between September 17th and 20th in Reno, Nevada.
    ————————————————-

if you wiki that award it wont pull up, but instead the top listing was afor a very corrupt and russian oil man with the same last name.

I am alsothinking that there will already be a sequel to this movie due to the fact that it takes place in new york, all the evidence supports that just one and only one city is attacked, and best of all the evil japanese companies are of course NOT in new york city proper. –If the ad campain for this movie drove us this crazy, i cant wait for the ad style for the sequal–

  12. DW says:

bold futura the legall company that registared the slusho web site is owned by the T company

  13. clint says:

anyone notie that one of the animals in the history portion has a hammer in his thought bubble.. the same hammer that can be found in the site.. in the belly of one of the robots. I have no idea if this means anything, but curious, plus the newest video on that teddy site I think gives away just about all we need to know, except of course what it is, but hey this company awoke something or geneticly made something, don’t eat the slusho, I should quit this is distracting me far too much from more important things…

  14. DW says:

I have heard the roar on slusho plenty of times while i was viewing the qoutes. Also at the time i had the movie site open, i dont know if you can get any extras by having both sites open at the same time or not, but if nobody else has checked it out, you might be able to get more extras by using both sites at the same time.

  15. Drew88101 says:

upon looking at my last post regarding 27.com i think i was in a rush cause looking at it………yeah ANYWAY patrick i got the same thing you did i think it’s just a bunk website. And darth the Roar is not on slusho.jp the roar can be heard on 01-18-08.com

  16. Patrick says:

I went to that 27.com page, just for kicks really, i dont have a clue as to whether or not it has anything to do with the movie, but what I found was that in faint text it says “You are dead” and below it it says “I am not”

I wanted to know if drew88101 miss typed what he found, or if it had been changed….

  17. darth balls says:

Where on slusho do you hear the roar, ive looked every where and tried a million different flavor combos and i get nothing….

  18. katy dee says:

the same roar can be heard on both the slusho AND 1-18-08 websites…..clearly proving a link between the two

  19. olly says:

If you click on the other animals, the fish has a thought bubble of a piece of cheese. One of the fake names for the film was “cheese”

  20. Drew88101 says:

i dont know what 27.com could have in common with the movie just a basic black page but if you select all you see txt I am dead then lower you see you are not i think it’s just a coincidence who knows

  21. steveo says:

has anyone been on 27.com (01+18+08) very strange..but could be hoax…

  22. Nstyg8R says:

nice to see that someone else caught the Slusho.jp “crying crab”; but no one else mentioned that a crab is a sea creature that can also walk on land…perhaps the monster is related?

  23. mix999 says:

has anyone tried actually calling the phone number on Tagruato’s weebsite? i have skype, maybe ill try sometime soon

  24. Drew88101 says:

hayseed the monster roar is NOT on the slusho.jp site it’s on the 01-18-08.com site you need to be on that page for about 6 minutes and you’ll hear the roar

  25. Hayseed Literati says:

Interestingly, I just tried to look at the Tagruato site in Japanese, but it won’t let me…. If anyone has a link to the Deep-Sea Drilling map in Japanese please let me know!

  26. Hayseed Literati says:

Just a follow-up to an old post, to clarify: Mikan and Nashi are just fruits — orange and pear, respectively. To be honest, I’ve never seen a pear-flavored Japanese… anything. So it’s weird, that’s it’s included.

Japanese names: Jimmu might just be “Jim.” Keiko is a common Japanese name, and the kanji for this name would be different than that for “practice.”

I played around on the Slusho site, mixing flavors, but never hear the monster sound. Perhaps my combinations weren’t monstrous enough. 😉 I have to say, the marketing reminds me of Slurm, from Futurama — something so addictive you can’t stop drinking…

  27. J Hizzle says:

    One more thing…

One of the sub-companies under tagruato corp is Parafun wax company. Wax is made of honey, so perhaps that connection is realistic as well…

  28. J Hizzle says:

There is something important about crabs. on the slusho site it tells you to click the red crab six times. After doing so, you can see a green tear coming from his eye. Above on a post someone mentions the kanji is honey, not crab. I think crabs are key somehow.

If you visit the slusho myspace site, you’ll see the zodiac sign for slusho is cancer. Cancer is a crab. Also, there is a cheese logo on the page as well. We know that JJ Abrams uses the code name “Cheese” for the film.

    Ideas?

  29. Katie says:

omg so creepy on Slusho.jp if you click on last bubble thing a thought bubble comes up that says

“We are coming we’ll find you, soon!”

    so creepy

  30. mosura says:

    Also, on Tagruato’s website:
You need to click 6 times on the links in order to get them to load the next page.
There are interesting tidbits under Headlines and Company History.
Apparently, my hunch about the name Jimmu was right:
“First order of business was to build the Jimmu Drilling Station in the Inland Sea, named after the founder of Japan and the descendent of the sun goddess Amaterasu.”
And this tidbit from the Headlines section seems like a knowing wink to those of us hunting for clues and listening for “lions:”

“Tagruato Lions win Little League Championship
The Tagruato Lions Little League Team are victors once again! For the third straight summer, the Slusho! fueled Lions became league champs after defeating the Nishio Dragons by way of forfeit. The game was called midway through the 4th inning, with the Lions already leading 18-0 thanks to four homeruns by slugging first baseman, Fudo Goto, 11.

“I hit the ball far,” said a jubilant Fudo following the game.

Lions pitcher Masakuzo Endo (8-0) had nine strike outs and thirteen hit batsman. Nishio coach Geoff Jingle was forced to forfeit after he looked to his bench and found no Dragons brave enough to step to the plate.”

(I hit the ball far – could be a small joke on the swatting of the SOL’s head.)

  31. mosura says:

Some thoughts on Tagruato and the significance of name choices there.
Taguru is a verb meaning “to pull in” (as in pulling up a fishing net). -Ato means “after.”
    Seimu = government affairs
    Korei = tradition; custom
    Chuai – loyalty; devotion
Kaika = various interesting definitions depending on which Kanji are used in the spelling: blooming (ie. development); civilization; fire of mysterious or suspicious origin; lower floor (downstairs)
    Keiko = practice; rehearsal; training
Kogen = an obsolete word (if a word is “kogen,” it is obsolete, or archaic)
Koan = various definitions depending on which Kanji are used in the spelling: public safety; plan, device, idea, invention; the Kouan era of history (approx 1278-1362); a Zen koan – a question upon which one meditates (ie. What is the sound of one hand clapping?)
Kosho = various definitions depending on which Kanji are used in the spelling: old book; bite/wound; ore deposit; arsenal
Suizei = no known meaning. Although “suizen” is mouth-watering.
Jimmu = no known meaning. Although Jinmu is the mythical divine founding Emperor of Japan. Check him out on wikipedia.
Suinin = no known meaning for this compound, but it could be interpreted as “water people,” from “sui” for water and “nin” people.
Sujin = Again, no known meaning, but “su” can mean “nest”, “hive”, or “web.” And “jin” is “person.”

  32. Drew88101 says:

I noticed they updated slusho.jp with distribution details. Basically saying what you need to do to get your own slusho machine in your store blah blah. I called the # on the website (GOD bless international calling plans) at first it’s all in japanese, then in english basically saying due to EXTREMELY high call volume they ask you to leave a message and your number so a representative can get back to you. Weird but it did state that it was tagruato enterprises…i left my # let’s see what happens next.

Did anyone notice that the before the first quake a voice says, “the wind” ? someone should make a website to record all this info lol

  34. Drew88101 says:

VERY interesting and thank you for directing us to that website that had the pictures of what kanji was what. It definately is the kanji for that bottom of the sea honey (or whatever it was) once again just further adding confusion to what the whole movie is…i’m almost starting to be ready for the new trailer i tried e-mailing that company that is the new viral site and no reply yet…only time will tell i suppose.

To those that aren’t wanting to travel from blog to blog here is the info from that blog (in no way is this anything originating from me i’m just porting from one blog to another so don’t try to accuse me of passing off someone elses work as my own)

Thank you for checking us out! We are introducing this weeks tasty one dish. Make sure you eat it cold!

Skinless chicken breast Cut in half 2 pieces
    Soumen Noodles 10 oz
    Watercress Julien 1/2 cup
    Radish Sliced thin 1/2 Cup
    Shitake 1/2 Cup
    Chicken Broth 1/3 Cup
    Sake 2 Large Tablespoons
    Sugar 1 small teaspoon
    Kaitei no mitsu 1 pinch
    (Bottom of the Sea Nectar/Honey)

In a small sauce pan, stir together 1/3 cup water, chicken stock, sake and sugar
Bring to a boil then chill until cold. Grill chicken brast 8 min on both sides then also chill
Boil the soumen for 3 min and leave in cold water untill chilled
Spead watercress shitake and radish around the soumen. Slice the chicken breast thin and fan ontop of the soumen
add the bottom of the sea honey into the sauce before serving
    Pour the sauce generously.

    Go go Delicious chef!
    ———————————————————————————–

As you can see the main point in here is the last ingrdients translation, that kanji is definitely NOT Crab. It’s Nectar/Honey. It’s a little tricky to translate the last kanji there because it has no direct translation in english.

The closest you can get would be Hachi mitsu or Bee Nectar 蜂蜜 You can say amost the same thing with a flower. Flowers have nectar or mitsu but when the bee takes it it becomes Hachimitsu

    Kani / Crab
    蟹
    Nectar / Honey
    蜜

People, the ENTIRE blog is updating with Cloverfield clues.

  38. Kaiju_Man says:

Does anyone notice on the 1/18/08 official site in the picture with the close up of the 2 girls faces (the one with the time 12:36 A.M.)that to the upper right of the girl on the lefts face their seems to be a demonic looking figure. Anyone else see it or just me?

  39. BLaCKFoG says:

So heres another theroy. I think theres a massive amount of clues on the http://tagruato.jp/ site. First things first, Tagruato is of course posing as a major JAPANESE corporation for the movie. Tagruato is split into four different subsidiares, three which are more important than the last, which is the Wax one. Aside from the subsidiares, Tagruato seems to be well know for its “Deep Sea Drilling”. On the site they mention that they have 14 different deep sea drilling rigs all over the glode. They actually even have a interactive map of all the drilling rigs on the glode and one of the most recent drilling stations that just opened in September 2007 is right in the Mid-Atlantic rig. Kinda close to New York if you ask me.

There are many people thinking that this movie is gonna be like some Godzilla monster movie, because of the japanese website Slusho.jp and also because of the way the trialer is. Is it Japanese related? i think it is, but it has nothing to do with Godzilla. So how is it Japanese related? Here are some little clues and things i’ve noticed. Rob, the guy in the trailer thats going away. Hes was going to Japan and why is he going to Japan? He could be working for a certain division in Tagruato, maybe BOLD FUTURA. I also noticed in the trialer that out of everyone at the party. Rob kinda looks like he knows whats going on and wishes he had left of Japan sooner.

Something else that i’ve seen around the web are references that people believe that Slusho is responsible for the entities (which i believe is Alien) awakening. The Alien wants to eat anyone thats drink more than six Slusho. That could be a possiblity, but not likely. The alien was awoken because of Tagruato, remember they specialize in deep sea drilling. The site talks about how they have superior technology and uses their technology to explore the ocean to find new resources. So yeah…they awoke an Alien that was frozen Thousands maybe millions of miles under the sea.

I guess to end this theroy, i should talk about Slusho. One of the subsidiares that Tagruato has is Slusho, which is a part of the company that specializes in a “popular frozen Asia drink” and it includes a “special ingredient”. Not only is it popluar in Asian, but like the Tagruato site mentions, its a popular drink with “hip” adults that are mixing it alcohol. What can the special ingredient be that makes this drink soo good? Might be something extracted from the Alien..don’t know. Slusho is definatly connected though, because the guy in the trialer that mentions they should “check out the roof” is wearing a Slusho shirt. But thats old new.

In conclusion, the whole destruction of New York and possiably the world is because of the Tagruato company awakening an Alien.

ok has anyone noticed that 6 minutes on the 1 18 08 website and it roars?

  43. fg says:

about the translation what does the 2 letters and 3912 in the bottom right corner mean ???

  44. Drew88101 says:

I also noticed on this picture there is NO time stamp, unlike all the other photos that have the time in the bottom right corner….although seeing as to how it is somewhat of a seafood based dish (once again going with the ocean theme on slusho.jp, *crab of all things*) and it mentions please make sure to keep this one cold…much like the “secret ingredient” that slusho.jp mentions now i’m NOT saying this recipe is the secret ingredient…what i am saying is i’m almost positive there is a BIG clue RIGHT in front of our faces…i just am drawing a blanks as to what.

  45. Drew88101 says:

why of all things have a recipe for a crab dish? This almost seems like a thing to throw people off. Maybe something in the background of the picture to look for?

  46. Brad says:

The Back of the Photo on 1-18-08.com says this:

Everybody, thank you for viewing! I’ll introduce this week’s delicious recipe. Please make sure to keep this one cold!

    * Skinless chicken breast – 2, cut in halves
    * Sōmen noodles – 10 oz.
    * Watercress – 1/2 cup cut into small strips
    * Turnip – 1/2 cup, thinly sliced
    * Shiitake Mushrooms – 1/2 cup
    * Chicken stock – 1/3 cup
    * Sake – 2 tbsp.
    * Sugar – 1/2 tsp.
    * Deep-sea crab – one

In a small saucepan, stir together 1/3 cup water, chicken stock, sake, and sugar. Chill it until it becomes cold. Grill the chicken breast on both sides for about 8 minutes, and then chill. Boil the noodles for about 3 minutes, and then run under cold water until chilled. Mix the watercress, turnips, and mushrooms into the sōmen. Slice the chicken thinly and arrange on top of the sōmen mix. Just before you serve, put the crab in the sauce and pour over the noodles generously.

    Go Go Delicious Chef!

    *End Note*

    Any help???

  47. sleepdeprived says:

I don’t think I am as hardcore about this as any of you guys and gals out there, but I did notice few things when I got around to googling. The myspace page for slusho. Is it real? or is it just some dumb fake? I don’t know, but it did say that his zodiac sign is cancer (crab). Also, the new photo at 1-18-08.com. The last ingredient on the recipe calls for an ocean floor crab. Furthermore, at Slusho.jp, a crab is holding the arrows that control the pages of history. My final point is probably a big stretch, and could be a big coincidence. When I googled 63 and crab together I found that the 63 action figure in a series of villains for the japanese show Ultraman was in fact a giant king crab monster. This seems like a stretch, but it fits the same kind of godzilla movie template, and the style of ultraman somewhat reflects the slusho flavor monsters. Big stretch I know. This information coupled with the fact that we might be looking for a monster that lives in the water, can also move on land, and can sheer the head off of the statue of liberty, my gut keeps telling me this is about a giant crab (which will give the comedians a lot of material for atleast the next year or so over paris or britney). tata

upon looking around the net some more (i get REAL BORED AT WORK CAN YOU TELL!!) i ran across this. Now this sounds VERY damn detailed so this person might know what they are talking about or be almost as bored as i am

    http://www.cloverfield-movie.com/blog/

there is the link and below is his idea on the plot (also on the website there is a fan drawing of what they think the monster MIGHT look like based on their speculation)

    THE PLOT:

So, again, I could only get so much info on the topic… But basically this film has seen more rewrites than… well.. whatever other movie has seen a lot of rewrites… a lot basically. Originally the entire film was all destruction from beginning to end, J.J wanted all action, all the time. It was, like I said, your basic Monster movie, no real plot, as long as people die and te monster destroys a lot of stuff… But after the buzz over the trailer, the producers felt that there needed to be more to the story than just things blowing up… so the rewrites began.. but there was only so much they can do…. They did give a little bit on Rob and Beth and they’re crushes.. and a little bit on the brother and friends.. but for the most part. .there’s no real character development in this movie… And so… the myspaces were created to give the characters a little more back story.. this way, true fans will know much about the characters when the film finally does release… but those who only have seen the trailer and never took anything out of it than another monster movie and won’t get much backstory on the characters… since the plan is to make most of the movie about the destruction… Though… the monster will not truly be revealed until about 30 minutes in to the movie…

    THE STLYE:

Though many feel that the movie will consist of home video to give it a more “real” effect.. this is not true… The film will be shot the way we see any other movie (we’ll call it Film Look) but will have parts in home video, like the trailer. Infact, what we see in the trailer is in the movie, but there are “Film Look” scenes in between that we haven’t seen. As much as some people would like to see a blair witch style movie with this film… it siimply doesn’t work… everything woudl be too shaky and the audience will be too bored with the handheld… and if the film was shot that way…. it would suggest that, like Balir witch, the monster would be diffficult to see or not seen at all.. which would not satisfy the audience.. and So I guess we get the best of both worlds with both styles intergrated… Plus… who holds on to a camera the hole time..It’s just not believeable….

    THE SITES:

So the offical sites are still 1-18-08.com and Slusho.jp.. no warbloid or rage of the gods….though Slusho doesn’t have that big of a part in the movie, it does have the most clues as to the origins of the monster…but I don’t know, my friend doesn’t know… but some one knows what they’re doing.. but it’s too confusing and frustrating to crack the “codes” so to speak.. And then there’s 1-18-08.com…. There are still only 5 pictures with two of them having messages…. There are no real clues in these pictures.. I’m sorry.. The pictures were put up there as more teasers as to what happened that night..giving you a time frame. There are no hidden messages and if they are.. we’ll never find out until the movie comes out…

But Good news… the producers are listening to the fans who are frustrated with the mystery and know that you can only hold out for so long… A reason for this is was the lousy roar that was inserted 6 minutes into staying on the site… the producers found out that you guys were outraged that a new picture or some form of information was giving.. it was just a roar.. so they want to make up for it…

    TITLES and NEW TRAILERS:

So everyone has been wondering what the title will be… and you are no different from the producers… when production began.. the film still didn’t have a title… Cloverfield, Slusho, Etc. were just working titles (I’m sure we all knew that) But J.J really, really wanted to get the trailer out in time for the release of Transformers since he’s smart and knows that it will be seen a lot with a blockbuster like that… So what do they do… they push it with no title and what they had shot already.. hence… we all saw what some have said to be the greates trailer ever made.. though it was all pretty much a fluke by J.J for not having a title ready… not to say that they didn’t know what they were doing… I’m sure they wanted the movie to seem mysterious.. but there was not title to release at the point… And if that weren’t enough.. they did decide to release the title at Comicon..but after the poster leak fiasco…. they scratched it and went back to the drawing board… It was going to be Monstrous (and they saved themselves by releasing other posters with other adjectives)… but because of the leak.. they decided to change it again… soon Overnight and Parasite were scratched and the newest “weak” title “Wreck” will soon be scratched… For some reason J.J wants to keep the title one word.. it’s like his thing (Alias, Lost).. and not very ellaborate titles.. just basic words… but I dunno if we’ll be happy with the final title…but as for now.. they’re still working on it..

Which leads to the new trailer that will soon come out that will AGAIN have no title!!!! What is up with that.. give it a title already!!.. But the new trailer will consist of actual scenes related to the aftermath of the first trailer.. This includes Rob among other friends struggling to get away from the monster (which won’t be shown of course.. again)… ad find themselves at a first aid center where (as I have seen on previous posts on the new trailer).. will have “infected people”.. but no.. this will not be a monster/zombie movie.. the infection is a result from a mysterious ooze that comes from the monster.. upon contact.. they get sick and may look like zombies.. but do not hunt for brains… It just makes them look like crap for some reason..

So that’s my theory.. I’m sure I left some stuff out.. but I can only remember so much…. So, personally, I don’t think the movie will live up to the hype.. I think we all wanted a little bit more out of this movie.. but we’ll soon find out that the phenomenon was basically a fluke which went to the producers advantage.. and now we’re left with the obession of trying to find out what this movie is about and they’re struggling to try and live up to the hype.. it’s just a big mess.

Now take this with a SERIOUSLY small grain of salt. After looking online and reading a few posts i saw a post on a message board regarding http://www.youcantdrinkjustsix.com and it takes you to a sublink for http://www.noaa.gov about that mysterious Bloop noise that was recorded in 1997 (the bloop we’ve read about on here and seen on slusho.jp. NOW it could VERY easily have been someone who jumped on that bandwagon quick and decided to have a little fun or it could be some weird odd clue…

  53. Drew88101 says:

*laughing at Belizzle* Hmmm Very good point can anyone thing of anything more terrifying then 50 ft tall high school musical

  54. Drew88101 says:

Katie look at the movie poster again……..not only is there the trail but the claw marks on the statue of liberty….and on one of the buildings as well…i’m not sure exactly what it is….but i’m starting to lean towards the kappa theory that was posted earlier. Or at least something along those lines…

  55. Belizzle says:

i think the monster is the cast from high school musical.

  56. EDNA says:

The River Thames Whale was a juvenile female Northern Bottlenose whale which was discovered swimming in the River Thames in central London on Friday 20 January 2006. According to the BBC, it was six metres long and weighed about six tons. The whale appeared to have become lost, as its normal habitat would have been around the coasts of the far north of Scotland and Ireland, and in the seas around the Arctic Ocean. It was the first time the species had been seen in the Thames since records began in 1913. It died after suffering from convulsions as it was being rescued shortly after 9:00 PM GMT on 21 January 2006.

  57. Katie says:

OK… yeah. Wow. Watched the first trailer again… just completely ignore the post about “bad robot” no idea what I was thinking. LoL.

  58. Katie says:

Another thing is that if you look on the poster there’s a clue to what I’ve heard with you guys talking about a sea monster. To the right of the statue of liberty, there is a trail that runs past it and into New York through the water.

You guys have said this before, but I was thinking of the possibility of a sea monster who can also walk on land. I think it’s a possibility…

  59. Katie says:

    Dude…

I just saw a clip of the new Cloverfield (at least I think it was the original: it was on YouTube) and found that there was black with the words “Bad Robot” in it. Could this be the title?

I personally don’t think this is the title. It doesn’t sound like the movie. Anyway I wanted to throw out the suggestion.

  60. fg says:

  61. Drew88101 says:

i read and re-read the posts lol and for somereason i was seeing slusho…….can’t drink just six i guess. DAMN it’s been a long week i’ll have to try 01-18-08 later today cause i can’t access that site from work for some reason. Thank you for correcting me Lynkx!! AND as for everyone saying it MIGHT be the host…….cause no one in america knows that movie….i was at hastings yesterday and they just re-released the host movie special edition….(ironic huh) so that pops that idea

  62. Lynkx says:

Drew it’s the 1-18-08.com site that you have to do it on, and if im not mistaken, it was either minimized or in the background, otherwise sitting idle, when i heard the noise… it was really creepy.

  63. Drew88101 says:

6 minutes, 6 flavors, 6 this 6 that, either this number plays a HUge part in the movie. OR J.j. is having some serious fun with us….i’m gonna check out the slusho site right now and time it to double check, i’m startign to get a little antsy for the next clue.

  64. Lynkx says:

Ok, I know this is gonna sound even weirder, but i refreshed the 1-18-08 site and after sitting on it for 6 minutes it played the same roaring noise. Sounds pretty connected to slusho to me.

  65. Lynkx says:

Ok so, I was sitting on the 1-18-08.com site, and i was on this site as well, while i was readying this site, a very loud noise came over my headset, and it was the same groan/roar from the cloverfield trailor, it scared the living s**t out of me. Try it, you actually have to sit around on the page for a while for it to happen though.

  66. Drew88101 says:

i don’t think the names Nashi and Mikan have anything to do with it. Nashi is russian for Ours, and a Mikan is a Orange type fruit from japan. I want to say there is some sort of inner page or something because when you start mixing flavors you get that little star in the left hand corner saying new flavors added but you can’t do anything…….not sure That new website that
kain posted is weird to say the least but it’s official. So i’m not SURE what’s up i’ll have to watch that video on that website when i’m not at work so i can try to see what other “potential clues” may be in there.

  67. fg says:

i was mixing alot but i think it was nashi and strawberry. and i wonder why 2 of the “flavours” has “names” Nashi and Mikan. And when u mix and the robot comes and says slusho zoooom.. i have tryed to rightclick and zoom in but havent seen any odd yet. maybe on som other page on site ?

  68. Drew88101 says:

FG, any idea as to what flavors you mixed? i’m sure a few of us would be interested in checking this out.

  69. btw, the movie will be told from the POV of the actors, you won’t get to see the monster much until the 3rd act. sorry. oh and don’t read much into the numbers, it’s another trick they pulled out of the old tired LOST bag.

  70. The music is from http://www.flashkit.com we’ve used their music for our videos for the past three years. I’m almost SURE this movie will be the american version of THE HOST since they can get away with recycling it (not many americans saw it) and their marketing is the STRINGING ALONG people junk they Bad Robot folks have done with LOST for 3 years. LOST is not a bad show but their history of stringing people along is very sad. Become a whale!

  71. fg says:

when i was mixing some “flavors” on slusho.jp i heard the same roar as in the movie trailer…

  72. Kain says:

o yea the password is jllovesth

  73. Kain says:

there is a new offical website that we have found.

    http://www.jamieandteddy.com/

  74. Intruder says:

Any one think that jj abrams or whoever got the idea to link these sites/clues together from the show “six degrees” or from the “Six degrees of separation” idea.

aka the number 6 or on the news 63 degrees hmm.. just something to think about

also what is the girl holding in the air in the pic 01/18/2008 12:04A, may not be important but just wondering.

  75. Drew88101 says:

thanks kyle i figured it was something beyond easy (did anyone else besides me notice the huge claw marks on the back of the statue of liberties back on the movie poster?)

  76. Kyle says:

Well, to flip the pics you need to click and hold your mouse button down and wiggle it left and right to flip them.

  77. Drew88101 says:

ok last post for the day. Has anyone looked at the teaser poster for the movie. The one with the headless statue of liberty. Looking at the water leading to the city you can almost see a trail leading to the city i thought maybe it was a reflection of the smoke but it leads from the statue to the city. Leading me to believe like so many others that this is a whale type of creature (or other aquatic animal) Take it for what it’s worth…

  78. Drew88101 says:

on a side note. Does anyone know how to flip the pictures over on 01-18-08.com. i’ve tried a few ways from double clicking. etc. etc. I’m sure it’s a simple thing and i’ll feel like a total choad once i hear how.

  79. Drew88101 says:

you know. Using social networking sites such as myspace, or whatever other ones would be a pretty neat idea. To tie in a small clue here and a small clue there.

  80. Kyle says:

Well, I found another odd Myspace account. I’m not sure if these things are supposed to tie in or what but this persons blogs are kinda odd. And look a thte Myspace URL.
    http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=211191924

  81. Kyle says:

Well, I found this. Don’t know if it is real or what. Look at the pic. It says something about a monster leaving 23 or maybe 20 years ago.

    http://www.myspace.com/slushozoom

  82. Drew88101 says:

Too much talk of slushozoom.com on here. It’s a very poorly made site although it does leave a lot to think about. Is it legit? i personally think not. NOW considering this film has had a TON of code names, from slusho, to cheese, to cloverfield, and now codename 01-18-08, there is no telling although the cheese thing could be another viral site in the works. if you noticed on the slusho.jp site you highlight one of the animals and they have the thought bubble showing a picture of cheese. I dont think it’ll be a remake or anything revolving robots. BUT then again i could be wrong. After the line it’s alive too many people (myself included thought he was it’s a lion *hence the debate on a possible voltron live action movie*) after seeing transformers 3 more times i realized i was wrong. Regardless this movie looks as though it will kick some serious a*s and regarding the flavor combination on slusho.jp i think it MIGHT be some kind of puzzle combination (but then again as i mentioned that’s my personal thoughts i once again COULD be wrong)

  83. palu says:

@ first i thought it was a giant lion…but after revisiting the slusho site all the whale refrences made me think….maybe i should look up some of japans statues near the water and what a coincidence there happens to be a statue of a big blue whale…coincidence i think not

  84. Sayer says:

there is definently a bunch of talk of whales on that slusho site.

  85. Sayer says:

On the “Happy Talk” section of the slusho site. there are 2 quotes that made me think.

one was something like “have you ever thought of trying an apple or watermelon flavor”

and the other was “I want a whale flavoured slusho”

    any ideas?

  86. Kain says:

obviously you need heard what jj abrams said at comicon. he said its a new, completely original monster.

  87. You guys need to brush up on your films. The Beast from 20,000 fathoms, the official wuote of that movie was, “it’s alive, It’s huge,” it’s a movie where a monster is released from the polor caps by a nuclear explosion and destrays a bunch of New York before it’s killed by a rifle shot with a sub atomic isotope in it or some s**t like that. Anyway, I recognized the slusho referrence from the first movie, I can’t rremember where exactly, but I looked up slusho, and while the .jp is interesting with it’s clues, there is a site slusho.org that explains the whole thing and has a trailer of the original. No Godzilla, no Pokemon, wherever the f**k that idea came from, and slusho was a company before this movie but bottomed out, but they are now added to the viral marketing for Cloverfield. Slusho.org FYI was the second link that came up on google… do you guys know how to use the internet even?

  88. bq4l says:

PRIME. Joel Haslam. Andrew. James. You all have valid points and great insight as to what this is all about: apocolyptic, biblical links, BLOOP, unknown depths of the sea 0 and the whole plant patent 808101!!!! My theory: The bible says man is going to destroy himself. We dump so much crap into the sea and into the atmosphere; it messes up the ecosystem. Animals, plants, and we adapt to survive. Imagine something at the bottom of the ocean growing and mutating to survive from all the stuff accumulated from human waste and byproducts (BLOOP) We have killed off the blue whales. I could go on with this… Just had to add my thoughts, though they may seem stupid to many….

  89. Put says:

I just received an email from a guy calling himself “Bob” who claims to be “in the biz.” When asked if that meant the movie biz, Bob replied, “Uhm…yes.” When asked if he’s connected to to Cloverfield, Bob said, “What?” Obviously this guy is legit. Why would he lie? Bob revealed to me the following:

In the trailer, Rob’s tie is BLUE.

You see where this is goin’? Huh? HUH?

The BLUE tie is a 50/50 silk/polyester blend, silk being a product of the silk WORM.

BLUE. WORM. Huh? Heh? HEH? Get it? It’s all makin’ sense now!

Polyester was created by the DuPont chemist Charles T. Montgomery, who was born on September 17, 1929. That’s 9/17/1929. His birthdate has seven digits in it.

1-18-08 also has seven digits in it. Coincidence?

See? It all makes sense. This is obviously a movie about mutant Pokemon robots from outerspace who get hopped up on soda, defrost Charlton Heston, and seek revenge on all those damn, dirty apes.

    It’s all there.

  90. kevinjosef says:

Don’t know if anyone else noticed this (i don’t have time right now to read every post) but it looks like the female newscaster in the film trailer is the same newscaster from the slushozoom site. At the bottom of the slushozoom site there is a link to support@slushozoom. Under that there are 2 small links. The one on the left takes you to a “newsstation” website. Click on the Cocaine enrgy drink story. I think that’s the same actress.

  91. Andrew says:

if you go to the slushozoom website and find the sourcecode for the acient monster picture and type it in as a website it wil take you to a zoom of the picture and the monster seems to be holding two clovers ??? Also I think that this movie is more religious than japenese. this is from the book of revelations….Then I[a] stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns,[b] and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion.be patient and read thewhole book, lots and lots of connections

  92. Macj10 says:

Abrams wants to make an American Monster movie. The Director of the old American Monster movies, “Invisible Man” and “Frankenstein” among others, was James A. Whale.

Couldn’t that be the “Whale” that the Slusho site keeps referring to?

  93. Redith says:

wow. Thats hardcore that parisitic thing. I need to know where that came from

  94. Mark says:

they and the monster’s roar to the 1-18-08.com about 6 minutes in

  95. Mark says:

That was a pretty interesting read, but you forgot to mention that the movie was about ducks.

  96. Prime says:

ok well i do know one thing and that is that some of the people who post here are way behind on their findings oh well some things just take time so here is another theory that i have come apon and i think that it is the best theory thus far it is kinda along the lines of my egg theory so here it is enjoy:

“Here is the first third of the film…About one billion (yes billion) years ago, life on Earth was still at the multi-cell level and they remained mostly in their habitat. One of the organisms was more passive and preferred a symbiotic relationship for their survival.

Another (and there were more) was more aggressive and preferred to control larger beings for their survival. Back then, the world had only one continent. The two organisms were separated, for the most part, by land.

But the aggressive organism had developed a taste for the passive one and tried to feed on it as often as possible by going around the land mass. Until a cataclysmic event changed things, burying most of the ancient organisms under the oceans. The surviving organisms either died off or evolved (later becoming humans and what not).

Fast forward to present day and we have Japan discovering the passive organisms buried off their coast and eventually came to the conclusion that the American continents (North and South) had drifted over the aggressive organisms (more on them later) during the past billion years.

Japanese scientists begin studying this passive organism and find that it is a perfect nourishment supplement to humans. Grown in an agricultural field on the island of Hokkaido, Japan, these organisms create the appearance of cloverfields. The scientists learn that these organisms are beneficial symbiotic parasites that give us additional nourishment and make us feel happy. Thus humans and the parasites become one.

They are kept cold to prevent them from dying from exposure until they are introduced into their host. Thus the development of the awesome and delicious drink – Slusho! (It makes me happy).

Rob is a college graduate who has been hired by Slusho and has just accepted an offer to work in their technologies division in Japan. Rob also knows the basics of the organism, the story that Slusho “invented” as a marketing campaign and has recently been informed that the scientists have found trace amounts of the aggressive organism.

This aggressive organism likes to pool up into a larger being, control it, own it, even change it. It also eats the smaller passive organism much the same way a whale will eat plankton. Slusho is now one of the most popular drinks. In it’s own right it is a tasty meal that does not add fat and is proven to be healthy with claims that it cures cancer and many other diseases.

Slusho and it’s by-products are now being flushed (literally) into the sewer systems and drained out to sea by way of urine, fecal matter and just straight unconsumed Slusho. This builds up on the ocean floor and eventually awakens a very hungry and aggressive organism.

This aggressive organism, hungry and well, aggressive, follows the sewer trail back to New York and emerges through the sewers breaking and igniting a natural gas pipeline in it’s effort to feed on the passive organism, which is now us.”

i have no idea where i found this.

  104. Doug says:

I think this movie is going to be about Ducks. It just makes sense.

  110. Brendon says:

They won’t have to add backstory if all of the people like us find out the backstory via this ARG and other clue hunting, that we will already know about the alien/monster and its motives before we see the movie, so all we need to do is witness destruction

Just realized I spelt snakes “sanks”, sorry, I’ve been “smoking” tonight.

Joel Haslam I think it would be great if the movie had to back story. Make kind of a “Sankes on a Plane” but replace “Sankes” with monster(‘s), and “Plane” with New York.

    Good Times had by all

  113. Joel Haslam says:

haha. pokemon. cant even imagine how stupid that’d be

id be quite happy if this movie didnt even have a back story. just some huge monster tearing new york up. doesnt need to make sense does it?

  114. Prime says:

J Haslam: sorry to shoot you down its just like i said in my last comment i do not think it will be a remake.and i get where you are coming form with the bloop.

oh i posted this theory on another site but you guys might like to see what crazy ( mostly stupid) stuff goes on in my head. here it is in full plus some extra stuff… its long… sorry

i do not know if anyone has really posted about this but there is 4 roars. this is just what i hear. the first roar sounds like a whale like sound mixed with a low growl kinda like a lion or a tiger. its more like a moan. the second roar( happens before the explosion) is like a roar with none of that whale moan in it. the third roar happens while the explosion is going off sounds like the 2nd one but with a little zilla mixed in but at a lower frequency. the 4th roar (happens just before the SOL head comes) kinda sounds like the third roar but with more of that low zilla moan in it. (i do NOT think it is zilla it was just the only way i could explain what the noise was like) judging by the differences between the 4 roars i think that there might just be 2 monsters (i would say 3 or 4 but that would put animation for the movie way over budget) on that note, anyone who thinks that 30 million is gonna make a crap monster movie let me remind you: low filming costs due to the use of one( dont hold me to that)camera, the use of unknown-ish actors keeps the cost down as due to the fact that low budget film actors will usually get a relatively small amount of money upfront and then a larger share of royalties. This protects the producers. This way, if the film does horribly, then the producers don’t lose as much money. If it does well, the actors end up getting paid over a long period of time. so that leaves the rest for animation and other things like producers and the like. *anyway a theory that i have is that, if it is one monster, that it might be a female. the reason being is that if slusho is people and/or the fact that eggs might be involved, in a sense that the slusho’s secret ingredient could be the monsters eggs. this could be why slusho is people is on the site. maybe the ingredient is eggs from the monster and humans drink them. so slusho is people may not literally mean that they are people. (i think i have some proof on that theory that they are people too but i will post that another time) it could be that people drink the possible eggs and the monster, possible mother, is protecting her eggs or is angry about them missing.* so ya that is one thing that i have come up with and i will accept the fact that i will probably be really wrong but it is just something different from everything else.

    Prime

ps. i noticed that a guy says ” its like tremors” on the rooftop before the fire ball

the * mark the theory.anyway the only comment i have on it thus far reads:

are you kidding me about how it makes sense? do you realize how long it would take to tell that story and the background that goes into this? remember this is a 2 hour movie and they cannot implement stories like they do in lost. it would make sense if you could fit it in over the course of a season, but in 2 hours, when they have to show the monster, the destruction, and the action of what happened?

    my reply:

why does there have to be a long story behind it. it is alive right. it is just simple science in a fact that it COULD reproduce. it is not something that needs to be shown in any detail if you think about it. and in any case why does there have to only be one movie. and destruction is not part of the story… it happens while the story is being told. oh well it does not bother me what people think of my idea, its just an idea. it is just something that is not about flowers and plants, because most people did not like the idea of that. well its better than thinking it is a Pokemon movie.

maybe the ingredient could be a plant…hell it could be anything.i would aslo like to point out the fact that on the history page of slusho.jp it talks about a mother and a son so that is what i use to back up my answer but like i said its just an idea and i know i will prob be really wrong but it just seemed like it could be possible. again i could be really, really wrong. sorry for this huge comment but it might get all of us to think differently about this movie.

sorry again for the length and thanks for reading this (if you even do)

  115. Prime says:

Thanks spencer for siding with me and to comment on what spencer said about the flavor thing on slusho.jp. well there might be but it would take forever to figure a flavor combo that does the trick. you would have to try all possible amounts and every flavor combo well mainly everything down to the smallest detail. it would just take for ever to find the right combo there is just to many diferent combos to make so by the time you figured it out the movie would be on DVD! unless by some freak stroke of luck you happened to stumble on the key flavor combo before the movie comes out then this part of the website will be of no use to us in our hunt for clues. now that being said, there could be some other sort of clue on the flavor page but its just something that requires use to look extra, extra, extra close and hard at the page. it would not be something obvious (duh!). unless you think like G.I.Joe- ” the best place to hide is in plain view.” (if he did say something like that)

thanks again spencer, it was making me mad to see people think it was zilla/cthulu etc.

  116. Tim says:

    Satoshi has 7 letters.

  117. J Haslam says:

im not suggesting it is cthulu. just pointing out the bloop connection.

as far as rights go, you’re right about zilla, toho and sony own him, but im not so sure about cthulu. lovecraft is dead, though his family/estate are no doubt in charge of his intellectual property. but cthulu has appeared in numerous stories throughout the mythos written by authors other than lovecraft, ie august derleth

there must be something to the slusho site. spencer raises a good question.. someone needs to give the flavour generator some time and figure it out.

shaan, satoshi is 7 letters. but there is no doubt some connection with the number 6.

    as for the guy who made this video;
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKnJue5OcIM
im not sure i see the face. i see what looks like a side view of a skull with the bottom jaw dettatched. maybe.
also, are the 2 posters he shows real? the hand in the dirt and the shadow?

ever think we’re reading too much into this?
and is anyone expecting dharma to play a part in it?

  118. Shaan says:

It is interesting to note that on the slusho website there are 6 flavors, the name of the originator is Noriko ( 6 letters) and the name of the person that you send e-mails to is Satoshi…(also 6 letters)…might mean nothing or might be relevant..also the names ganu and noriko have affiliations with Japanese research projects (probably just conincidences)

  119. spencer says:

    i agree with prime
not to mention that it was already confirmed that this movie is totally original
and does anyone know if a certain flavor combo on slusho unlocks anything?

  120. Prime says:

just to clear things up about all those thinking it is zilla or cthulu i have one word for you… RIGHTS! paramount does not own the rights to zilla(i think it is sony and/or toho who has the rights to zilla) and cthulu’s rigths sre prob owned by H.P. love craft. anyway my point is that paramount does not own the rights to everyting. so i do believe that we have a brand new monster on our hands. do you really think that JJ would just remake something when he came up with things the like of lost.

  121. Joel Haslam says:

just to contribute a little more to the cthulu idea..
i came across this wikipedia entry

“The JJ Abrams movie, code-named ‘Cloverfield’ and ‘1-18-08’ has a viral site on which one of the characters says “Slusho is bloop”. This has led many followers of the movie’s progress to believe that the mystery monster in this movie is related somehow. ”

The Bloop was an unexplained low frequency noise recorded several times during the summer of 1997 and traced to the coordinates roughly 50° S 100° W, very close to the coordinates of the lost city of R’lyeh, the sunken tomb of Cthulu, as given by both H.P. Lovecraft and August Derleth.

  122. Smiley says:

When I went to the Slusho.jp site I kept clicking comments. One time the little buy said “Slusho is people!” Could be just a funny reference to soylent green however.

  123. fred says:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKnJue5OcIM

it seems this guy has been following this for a while and has a worker from the movie that has given him some clues…
    -it is an alien
-you can see the face in the explosion
-its a new kind of monster
-the slusho ingredient has woken the beast that has laid dormant underground in the water. the explosion is of the monstor rising from underneath

i hope im not spoiling the clue hunting for anyone

pretty interesting video….who know if his source is credible or not…that slusho website is almost eerie and brinwashing to me..

  124. guiltyparty says:

never mind, after looking into it again i realized that this is old news.

but still the only thing that bothers me is why list only some of the animals that appear on the site. what about the duck? monkey? or crab. ect…

  125. guiltyparty says:

    Hey guys.

I took a look at the source code for the slusho.jp site and found something worth mentioning.

The Meta tags or “keywords” for the site are:

“Slusho, water, zoom, happy, power, fish, donkey, frog”

I thought “Donkey” “fish” and “frog” seemed interesting. Anyone want to venture a guess as to why they would use these specific words?

  126. Correct me if im wrong says:

When the first explosion happens it is from far away
then a few seconds later (it could just be shitty cgi) but it appears as though the second rain of fireballs that actually hit the roof come from a different direction (behind or to the side of the roof)

  127. porch says:

ok i have a theory about the slusho website…in the happy talk section maybe thier could be eyncrypted messages or something …..theres all of thoise qoutes….at least one should have some sort of a decoder or something…mybe im crazy but its seems very likely

  128. two cents says:

mr. Gray has an awesome concept. After the first few day of see the trailer I tried to sort it all out in my head. I came up with three ideas:
Whatever this is has to be God/Nature created (ie dinosure, King Kong, the kraken…) If that’s not it then it could be man made (ie Godzilla, ill mutated sea bass). The third option is alien (ie Transformers, War of the Worlds…). However, all the info that I’ve read sugest that it’s not alien. So the question is did we create it or did God?
We know it’s huge you can tell that from the poster, but we dont know if it can make fire. We asume that because of Godzilla, but what I am thinking is its the Army trying to blow it up. “But would they do that in New York?” You bet your bottom dollar they would. If a spider comes running towards you in the kitchen, are you going to wait till he’s in a good spot before you kill him, or are you going to use that dish that your holding?
My point is that we don’t know were the explosion came from.
Second. The NYM (that short for New York Monster) roars. Aside from Jaws 4 I’ve never heard a fish or whale roar before.
Third. We’re stuck in this Godzilla mind set. Why do we think that there is only one monster? This is why I like Grey’s idea.
Fourth why New York? “pretty lights”
Fith. We know that it’s strong because it pulled the head off the statue of liberty like a fat man pulling the leg off a turky at Thanksgiving. What we don’t know is when the NYM threw it. It looks like it comes up from the ground in the trailer.
Sixth and I’m done (if I can). What I think we have here is a Hitchcock stile advertising campain, feeding us one things only to trip us up after we’ve gone down that path. It will be intrasting to see how this will unfold over the next five months.

P.S. Do to the speed and time frame I had to type this in, some words may be mispelled. Go easy on me.

  129. kain says:

you are like a month late with that casey

  130. casey says:

did you know that you can flip the pictures to the back side and they have messages on them… might help

  131. James says:

How do you know the entire film will be shot from that one camera? Was that written somewhere I didn’t see? Some proof I missed? Someone fill me in here…

  132. hank says:

Okay so i’ve come up with a few interesting ideas about this film.

first off i’d like to point out something about the whole
“Furankenshutain no kaijû: Sanda tai Gaira” thing. If the movie is
about a 100 foot tall frankenstien that battles monsters i would not be supprised because of the fact that some one yells in the trailer “its alive and its huge” well the “its alive” part is a classic line from the famous story of frankenstien and the “its huge” part would obviously refer to frankenstien being really big. thats just my opinion on that whole deal. im not saying i actually think that thats what the moive is about im just saying its a possibility.

Next i found something very interesting on the 1-18-08 website. on the picture with the banner that reads “we’ll miss” you can see a very scary face thing in the right hand side of the picture. the scary persons shirt has a 9 on it. now if you turn that picture upside down the 9 becomes a 6 and the two ss’s in miss become 5’s and the i becomes a one and the two LL’s in we’ll becomee 7’s and the e becomes a 3. so you get

    6-5-5-1-7-7-3

Now i know that it seems way out there but hear me out. now if you match those numbers with their corrisponding letter in the alphebet you get the letters..

    f-e-e-a-g-g-c

put them in an anagram creator you get only two results

    egg face and cafe egg

i then looked up egg face in a phrase dictionary and i got

“to seem stupid because of something you have done.”

now my theory is that rob is going to japan to work for slusho. and because of slushos website information has created a monster that destroyes newyork. hense rob is stupid for going to work at slusho and helping a company that accidentaly created a monster.

    Just throwin it out there.

  133. Prime says:

i know that slushozoom.com is not to be taken as a real cloverfield site but i do have a few things to say about it:
1). i haven’t read here about it but when you highlight the main page of the sluhsozoom web site there is something that people have not said was there. there is hidden text that reads, ” Art by Name is not as important as knowing art by site” i still do not know why this has not been posted about before.
2). if you go to all the links an the page most of them tie into the concept for cloverfield. the link to the statue of liberty poem which reads,” The New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.”Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries sheWith silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”” so you can come up with how it ties in. another link takes you to a page that is for tours of warner/paramount studio tour. well we all know how that ties in. the other links i am unsure as to how they could tie in. the painting that you cannot click on is very small and hard to see so here is the link to the photo so you can see it better (http://www.slushozoom.com/images/cloverfield.jpg)

i am not saying that i think that slushozoom.com is a real site for cloverfield but some of the content on it seems to tie into paramount and the statue of liberty as well as possible others that relate to the cloverfield concept.

also i would like to say that by looking at the movie poster I(stress I) have come to think the the monster in the movie has to be a creature with claws of some sort due to the scratch marks on the back of the statue of liberty. also this creature must be well over 300 feet tall do to the fact that the statue is about 305 feet tall and to take the head off it like shown in the poster (ya i know it is just a poster and my have no baring on the look or size of the monster)it would probably be standing and slashed its claws accross the back form the middle to the left shoulder of the statue then throwing it a good distance… this is only what i have come up with…

all i know is that come Jan.18 i will have my ticket to see this movie no matter how bad or good it is because it has captured all of us to use our imagination to come p with all the ideas that we have come up with as well as made us use our logic and investigation skills to dig deep into the mystery that is cloverfield. i am looking for anything that my lead to answers but if i find anything that answers our questions i will probably not tell anyone until i se fit, but what are the odds of me finding out anything…lol. well hope all of your investigations go well…

    Prime

ps. on the susho.jp site the one quote about the 7 slusho’s and it being a bad thing, well if you go to the download page the birds are flying in the shape of a 7 but yes it also looks like a v…who knows thought i would share that.

  134. luigi says:

have anyone notice in the 1 18 08 site taht forget is mispelled

  135. ethan haas says:

i agree with everything ur saying. but unfortunately, your wrong. the whole movie is going to be shot with that one camera, i seriously do no think someone is going to walk around with their digimon while holding a video camera, PLUS the digidestined were children, and if they were to make it adults, right there it would ruin the concept of it

  136. Raley says:

Hey, has anyone noticed, on the history page, that other than the fish and horse, the octopus at the top, when hovered over, shows a hammer?

Or that in Slusho Talk page the octopus say: Are you one of us?

Sorta creepy.. can’t figure out the hammer…

  137. NRD80Y says:

http://www.youcantdrinkjustsix.com takes you a webpage about “Bloop”
“This sound was repeatedly recorded during summer, 1997 on the Equatorial Pacific Ocean autonomous hydrophone array. The sound rises rapidly in frequency over about one minute and was of sufficient amplitude to be heard on multiple sensors, at a range of over 5,000 km. It yields a general location near 50oS; 100oW. The origin of the sound is unknown.”

  138. Grey says:

also in another thought bubble is a hammer now at shusho.jp

  139. Grey says:

In Jewish belief, Behemoth is the primal unconquerable monster of the land, as Leviathan is the primal monster of the waters of the sea and Ziz the primordial monster of the sky.

    1) The first monster roar is accompanied by an earthquake (Behemoth)
    2) The second monster roar is accompanied by a huge fireball (Leviathan, for it can breathe fire)
    3) The third monster roar is accompanied by the flying Statue of Liberty head (Ziz).

    Not convinced?

The guy who says “maybe we can get a better view from the roof” has the Slusho logo on his shirt. Slusho is a classic J.J. Abrams icon, and it has appeared in both Alias and Lost, which are his shows.

Slusho.jp has, by now, been confirmed as a part of the viral marketing campaign revolving around 1-18-08. Japan. Strangely enough, the character Rob, who is present in the trailer, was gonna fly to Japan a day after that party and the monster events.

Let’s have a look around on that site. Not all pages are accessible. But there is an odd feature about the pages that are available. The main page background is on land, the Downloads page background is on air, and the History page background is on sea.

Furthermore, the six buttons on the main page cause popups of various animals, namely a Horse, a Whale and a Bird. Behemoth, Leviathan, Ziz.

It could just be some version of the end of the world in which ethan hass was right…

  140. guiltyparty says:

has anyone else noticed that when you create your own flavor on slusho.jp and you get your final flavor, when you press the “Tab” key on your keyboard it will jump from random little spots on the page with nothing there. also when you mouse over it your arrow changes to the hand (pc user). however none of the mouse overs are clickable. does anyone know how to dig into flash pages to see whats going on on the back end?

  141. guiltyparty says:

sorry about that Johnny, I’ll keep a better eye out next time.

  142. Johnny says:

C’mon now guiltyparty… that’s what’s in my link, and more.

Doesn’t anyone read the previous posts before they post?

If not, it becomes a mix of the same hashed comments.

  143. Lenny says:

Ok I believe its a rampage movie if you go to http://rampagegame.com/ click on mayhem and you get a story about scum labs operating under a soft drink company (mabey slusho) theres also a picture there of a big lion if you click on throw stuff mabey the lion reference in the 1-18-08 trailer…

  144. King says:

dude, if you want to believe something else, dont criticize what othe rpeople may believe. just close your mouth, believe what you want, and let others believe what they want.

  145. Johnny says:

Why delete? This is good info:

    http://www.fourguys.net/

  146. Max says:

Are you guys idiots??? JJ Abrams Confirmed that the ONLY sites that have been found that are related to cloverfield are SLUSHO.JP and 1-18-08. How stupid do you guys have to be to understand that slushozoom is a fake?!?!?! JJ ABRAMS SAID IT HIMSELF! and afterall, such effort was put into slusho.jp and 1-18-08, why would they put up a crap site that any 16 year old can make?????

  147. David says:

2004ace.com also says Yunjin Kim… the actress from lost… Coincidence?

  148. David says:

    http://ace2004.isr.ist.utl.pt/
    could be somethin… or not.

  149. kain says:

i know i found it odd too. i like how 54312 is on the list(thats the number from the ethan haas sites). plus if u look at the recommended sites notice the third one is you just cnat have six(that exactly what it says cant spelt wrong). but all of them go nowhere.

  150. James says:

wow, ok. 2004ace.com is very weird. not even interesting weird. it has links for 1-18-08, slusho, and other bizarre things. but when i clicked on slusho, it was personal singals for where i live.

  151. kain says:

in the trailer when that fireball hits the roof top that everyones on, there is writing that gets illuminated. it reads 2004 ace. so i typed in http://www.2004ace.com/ and this is what came up.

    http://www.cnomy.com/?dn=2004ace.com&pid=1POSD3EUD

  152. evilidol says:

Re Slushozoom’s “Furankenshutain no kaijû: Sanda tai Gaira”, that’s the Japanese title to “War of the Gargantuas”, 1967 with Ross Tamblyn. An 80 meter tall hairy green man-eating man beast starts attacking from the sea, and eventually, apparently dies fighting his brown do-gooder brother in an impromptu volcano explosion. If this is similar to War of the Gargantua’s, this is going to be cool.

  153. Foo says:

Umm…earlier someone mentioned a possible embedded video in the 1-18-08.com site. I was wondering if anyone managed to confirm this?

Oh and I’m probably just preaching to the choir, but for some reason that slushozoom site is quite compelling. Especially the, “All is not what it appears” lines. I was just contemplating the legitimacy of the sites that it links you to? If all is not what it appears to be, could this not also put in question the legitimacy of the sites linked?

  154. Raf says:

The picture of the woman on the shell on SlushZoom.com (if it is indeed legit) is a famous painting by Sandro Boticelli painted in 1486 entitled The Birth of Venus.

It depicts the moment Venus (or Aphrodite) was born from the sea after some god dude’s genitals were cut off and cast into the ocean, making the ocean fertile.

And if you read the Happy Talk on slusho.jp, one of the last things said is by the Japanese girl, something like, “Uh oh, I drank 7! What’ll happen now?!”

So “I bet you can’t drink just six” isn’t referring to the number at which you turn into a “whale,” but the *limit* of the number of drinks you can have before you turn into a “whale.”

  155. guiltyparty says:

now I’ve found something worth talking about,, on the 1-18-08 site you can flip the photos over and they have writing on the back. the first photo of the guy taking a shot says “Don’t forget who takes care of you Love J”, the second photo ( the newest photo to be added says (in the top right corner) “Lascano, Platt and Robbie – Jan 2008” and in the center it says “Robbie, Here, use this photo to send a message of my hotness far and wide!!! Im gonna miss the hell out of ya!! Love, Jamie” (with a hart over the “I”). The third, forth and fifth photos are blank.

  156. guiltyparty says:

Don’t know if anyone noticed but they added another photo to the 1-18-08.com site.

  157. Nathan Lawrence says:

While chasing rabbit trails through this insane ARG, I found this:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bathybius

“Huxley thought he had discovered a new organic substance and named it Bathybius haeckeli, in honor of German philosopher Ernst Haeckel. Haeckel had theorized about Urschleim (“primordial slime”), a protoplasm from which all life had originated. Huxley thought Bathybius could be that protoplasm, a missing link (in modern terms) between inorganic matter and organic life.”

Don’t know if this helps anyone, but I saw that first post and thought it might be related.

  158. Greatdark says:

Anyone have a link to the new movie poster for this?

  159. guiltyparty says:

forgot to post the wiki link, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cthulhu

  160. guiltyparty says:

I found an interesting read on Wikipedia, if anything I believe this Cthulhu can fit the description of the monster.

my theory is, what if someone came along and started mining the “secret ingredient” and pissed off a monster thats been dormant for thousands of years.

now if I’ve been sleeping for a few thousand years and someone rudely wakes me up I’d rip the heads off a few statues as well.

  161. Chykolv says:

Yeah its weird. This is what i got on the slushozoom.com site, for anybody who doesn’t feel like going there.

At the very top is the paragraph “In the beginning, there was more than one to inherit the wind. The sea is the womb. One overcame the other. Extinct does not always mean dead.”, followed by the hidden sentence “The meek shall not inherit the earth.”
At the bottom are two links, one is a single dot and the one next to it is to contiguous dots. It could be morse code, because of the T and I that appear when you highlight the section. It goes “T. .. I”. Whatever. I don’t know morse code.
Oh, then below that are the hidden phrases “Did the past ever exist, if there is no proof? All is not as it appears.”

    Also, there are links to:
    1) a wikipedia article on bazookas
    2) a page on genetic disorders such as trisomy
    3) a pharmaceutical page on a Swedish cholera-vaccine company
    4) a Warner Bros. page on VIP tours of their complex
    5) a kid’s recipe for neufchatel cheese. (fish’s thought bubble) Neuchatel is the capital of the Swiss canton of Neuchâtel on Lake Neuchâtel, located at a longitude of 47, which apparently has something to do with Cthulu.
    6) a shut-down donations page that pays to the author’s ‘bath fund’. yech.
    7) and of course, the most suspicious: a link to an imDb page on a film called “Furankenshutain no kaijû: Sanda tai Gaira”, which is about a Frankstein monster that exponentially grows to a height of 100 ft. and fights brown sea monsters…

Finally, there are the portraits that hold the links to these pages. They probably all have some kind of significance, especially since one is of the Statue of Liberty.

  162. Robert says:

i ran the copyright to the Slusho.jp “You Can’t Drink Just Six!!!”

and i ended up to it being copyrighted to…

Bold Futura, LLC LTD LIAB CO CALIFORNIA 1223 Wilshire Boulevard #1422 Santa Monica CALIFORNIA 90403

Attorney of Record Lori N. Boatright

  163. Eric says:

So that supposed email from JJ to Aint It Cool News said there are more website no one has found yet…

I’ve been rewatching the 1-18-08 trailer, looking for ANY text that appears on-screen. When everyone goes outside into the street, you can see a license plate of a New York SUV: ABZ 3293.

    No surprise…
    http://www.abz3293.com/

  164. DOCROCK says:

the movie is called MONSTROUS and you can view its poster on Movieweb.com its a cell pic of the poster and it has the statue of liberty with its head missing facing NY. at the bottom it reads 1-18-08. Seems kinda fake though.

  165. Mimi says:

chris – this is not a pokemon or digimon movie. satoshi is a very popular japanese name and honshu is the name of entire main island of japan. i’m sure there are millions of people name satoshi on the honshu island… the rights are owned my the WB anyways…

All the kanji on the page are translated correctly.

and…the name “Gojira” (Godzilla) is a combination of the Japanese words for “ape” and “whale”

as much as it sucks that this movie wont be and original idea i’m pretty sure it’s gonna be Godzilla.

and that slushozoom.com has to be fake.

  166. URRRICK says:

    IMPORTANT!

In the trailer the guy who is leaving to Japan is wearing a “SLUSHO!” shirt.

Slusho.org has a VERY interesting theory.

  167. Chris says:

I guess all of that leads to the word RIFT painted on the wall behind the DJ. A rift would bring us to an Abyss type situation.

  168. Big Worm says:

…Wonder if this thing is going to be done in a ‘real-time’ style? Just a guess after noticing the times on the photos at 1-18-08.com. As it stands now the photos document about an hour and a half, thats just about standard feature-length run time. A hand held style disaster pic could be pretty intense! It also would seem to fit in with this recent news …

“It’s about an alien that wipes out all of New York City…
The footage is taken the day before everyone dies. A bunch of kids come to Coney Island with a video camera. The movie is a flashback to that day”

An alien attack on NYC as seen from the POV of one camcorder… maybe found after the attack? Better not suck.

  169. Brendon says:

I forgot to say that Huxley made his false findings public in 1868.

Also, about the two monster theory…
One of the pictures on 1-18-08.com was taken at 1:24A.

The bible verse for 1:24 Acts is:
Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these “two” you have chosen

  170. Phil says:

Going off of what Joe talked about with Bathybius, the author of the book that exerpt is found in (Willy Ley) also wrote several books on “mythical” species. Also in his book “Exotic Zoology” where Joe’s info is, he talks about a mythical dragon creature called the Sirrush, also found on structures in Babylon, a biblical city and yet another biblical tie in.

I’m hoping for a rampage movie but am not going to be suprised if Abrams sticks to his sci fi roots and has used several different areas of influence to come up with a monster made apocolyptic movie.

  171. Brendon says:

If you click save pictures for the ones located at slushozoom.com, you will see that the statue of liberty is titled “Lady in Waiting” and 1868 picture is titled “Demon Fly”. The picture of the lady in the clam is titled “Birth”. Thus meaning she is being born from the sea.

when i looked at the Bathybius that JOe talked about, it talks about how a man named Thomas Huxley beleived that he found a primordial substance on the bottom of the Ocean that could potentially have been the spark of all life on Earth. He was later was found to have been mistaken, but the idea of it is pretty cool, and would tie in with Slusho.com and the magic seabottom ingredient.

  172. someone says:

my family says it might be rampage.

as far as i have read…

    MANY people have different thoughts..

    so i dont know..

did anybody else hear a BIG LION

cause i did when i watched the trailer

  173. Greatdark says:

I dont know I find it really hard to beleive that a movie would send you to other movie sites. Also didnt they say its an “original” idea not a remake or copy? From what i’ve heard the next big clue will be at comicon.

  174. Mike says:

Just my two cents, but 1868 BC is considered to be the date of Sodom & Gomorrah in the Bible.

  175. Paul says:

If you put together all of the clues given on http://www.slushozoom.com, there’s undoubtedly TWO monsters we’re dealing with, here. The picture with the woman and the fan brings you to an IMDb page about an old film about two monsters fighting. And right on the page it says “One overcame the other”. We can all safely say there’s two monsters fighting.

  176. Bryan says:

so on aintitcoolnews.com jj emailed them saying that the only site related to 1-18-08 is the selftitled site with the 4 pics….you can sheck the full article here:

  177. Chauncey says:

Yeah, it would be nearly impossible for someone to name a file “cloverfield.jpg” without permission from the creators. They’d have to, like, type those letters.

  178. Daniel says:

if you look at the source code for slushozoom.com the center image that is unlinked or unclickable is called “images/cloverfield.jpg”… still dont believe its related to the movie???

  179. James says:

good looking joe. finally someone’s taking the road i am… i just got back in town so i’m going to keep looking

  180. Greatdark says:

So lets say the site is a fake but it has given me an idea that seems the most possible and that is the lines in the movie. Its alive and its huge, take that and add the idea of extinct does not mean dead. Kind of makes sense to me. I still cant come up with an “roaring” extinct animal that is more than likely from the sea.

  181. JOe says:

1868 from slushozoom may refer to this evvent- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bathybius

  182. Liz says:

Have you guys sent an email to the email addy in the ethanhasswasright.com website? Interesting stuff.
Just click around and you’ll find it. But if you must know:

    Time is running out!

If this is the first message you have received from me do not give up hope! There are others that have gone before you, the way has been found, you only need to search and you will find the answers you seek. We will all have a role to play. We are getting stronger, our voices will be heard!

I have more of Haas’s writings, I found a secure way to transmit them but I cannot make it easy to find them. There are others who would destroy them if they could.
know the stars of Cassiopeia and you will know when you’ve reached your destination.

The more I read the more I realize Haas was right………

  183. James says:

believe what you want guys, but i’m sticking with something here…

and if you think i could be the guy that created it, how do you know that the person who “confirmed” it isn’t the creator and is just trying to throw people off? it’s been done before.

  184. Gustavo says:

    Friend

Sorry for being rude, but I’m starting to think you’re the owner of slushozoom.jp and just want to promote that FAKE site for you own good.

I’ve told you, some people confirmed, it’s fake man…

  185. James says:

i swear i’m not trying to post so much…

    ok more thoughts about slushozoom.com:
the picture below hot bath is a house address sign, baby angel that says 1868. go to wikipedia and type in 1868. there are a list of events that happened on this year, some i’ve come across in japan, such as:

    1. January 3 – Meiji Emperor declares “Meiji Restoration”, his own restoration to full power, against the supporters of the Tokugawa Shogunate.

    2. January 10 – Shogun Tokugawa Yoshinobu declares emperor’s declaration “illegal” and attacks Kyoto. Pro-Emperor forces drive his troops away. Shogun surrenders in May.

look on there if i missed any. i really think this site has something to do with it. it seems to random to be anything else. it had to have been done on purpose.

  186. James says:

I just highlighted slushozoom.com homepage again and found right under “extinct does not always mean dead” it says

“The meek shall not inherit the earth.”

I kind of hate to say it, but i’m thinking it has to do with some ancient dinosaur-like creature, or at least one from that time period.

  187. James says:

Also, if you go to the donate page, it’s changed to say

“So sorry – but the bath fund will is Closed due to
    (picture of SUV on fire)

At the end of the world, after all my efforts were wasted.
What I would not have given for just a simple bath.

    PRIMA !

Look at me, you’re going to make it through this, I’m not going to let anything happen to you.
You will receive what you need.”

Also, if you highlight the bottom of this page it says “Not all things are as they appear”

  188. James says:

OK, go to http://www.slushozoom.com and highlight the ENTIRE PAGE… read the bottom. It says:

Did the past ever exist, if there is no proof?
All is not as it appears.

    Think about that one…

  189. Recka says:

Okay as far as the “slushozoom” website it is NOT RELATED to the movie the ONLY 2 SITES SO FAR ARE 1-18-08.com and Slusho.jp all one need sto do is a whois lookup to see the slushozoom site is fraudulent. Enough time wasted on that…moving on to bigger and better things…My boyfriend is of Asian descent and his father is a language Professor (who speaks and reads fluent Japanese) who was nice enough to take the time to indulge my stupidity and translate all the Kanji on the slusho.jp site and it all says the EXACT SAME THING in English as it does in Japanese…even the Kanji at the bottom of the screen after the #6 says six is just not enough, cannot drink six. Oh yah, BTW you must have been left out of the loop so I will enlighten you…Ethan Haas was Right has NOTHING to do with Cloverfield/ Slusho it is actually a new mindstorm RPG called Alpha Omega you can check it is true.

  190. DOCROCK says:

ok so we know this is a movie about some apocoliptic crap happening in new york or possibly the world, if you listen to ethan hass’s message#5 it say that everyone meet back at ethanhasswasright.com on Aug 1st. anyone have any thing for this?

  191. d.bonn says:

also this whole ckrox.com thing——–ckrox is linked to some hormone or gene needed to clone someone or something ,,, in researching the gargantua movie it is possible one of the monsters is a clone

  192. d.bonn says:

the movie that is linked to is a toho picture originally released in japan,,the translation of their title means frankenstein,,,when paramount pictures brought it to america in 1970 they renamed it to war of the gargantuas,,it has 2 monsters looking for each other. it was supposedly just as big as godzilla….at the time…

  193. Gustavo says:

Come on, the date that shows up in the top of your browser is the title of the page. That was intentionally placed there, this is just about some guy that wants to make some easy money.

  194. Greatdark says:

so also one other little thing about http://www.slushozoom.com is my ie is showing the date at the top of the website to be 01-18-08….

Its a very odd site so many different links that have almost nothing to do with the other and the only picture you cant click on is what i would call the monster painting in the bunch.

  195. allgood says:

i went to the slushozoom.com website on my cellphone. and in the header of the sites it says the site name which is slushozoom! January 8th 2008. so there is no doubt in my mind these sites are related to cloverfield

  196. ben says:

    Timecode on pics on http://www.1-18-08.com/:

    12:01am
    12:36am
    12:48am

    36 = 6×6
    48 = 6×8

    Hell, you tell me.

  197. DOCROCK says:

    1-18-08.COM IS A PUZZLE

  198. Gustavo says:

Who is information about slushozoom.com shows that is was created 07-12-2007, registrated by some arizona company….

Together with the PayPal stuff, I really think this is pretty much fake.

  199. Jonny says:

I love the music on that slusho site. It’s like a 40 second loop but its great!

  200. Jonny says:

I’m gonna be severely pissed if its a pokemon or digimon movie.

But considering this guy did “Lost”… I dunno WHAT to expect.

Unfortunately, movies that are hyped this much tend to end up sucking. BUT JJ is aware of this… he said that the movie needs to mega-bad-a*s.

  201. VictimDub says:

Ok good thought, maybe there is something more to the slusho site than it appears, I have literally done a frame by frame deconstruction of the trailer, and gone through the two main sites we know of, 01-18-08.com and Slusho.jp, and deconstructed them too. there appears to be a hidden movie in 01-18-08.com, but I am not good enough to figure out either how to access it or how to pull it from the deconstruction. Slusho has some hidden Konji, I am not sure if it is the same as the stuff that is readily available on the site (go to history for the current Konji readily available) but a direct translation would be nice if it turns out to be something different. Currently scrutenizing the frame by frame, will be back with any discoveries.

  202. coast one says:

i looked up slusho zoom… as the character on slusho.jp says… came across slushozoom.com
on that page had some interesting stuff. at first i thought it was a mistake because it actually takes you to real websites that doesnt have anything to do with the movie… kinda. more like clues…

    five pics with links.
ok on the main page at the top it says
    ——————————————————-
In the beginning, there was more than one to inherit the wind.

    The sea is the womb.

    One overcame the other.

Extinct does not always mean dead
    —————————————-
if you highlight the whole page at the bottom you see it says:
All is not as it appears.
you cant see it unless you try highlighting the page. its in white writing

    ok now the links

1.one links to a genetics page… real page to a real company.

2.another link goes to recepie for cheese… cia kids or something.

3.another link takes me to a japanese movie form 1966…

4.upper left corner is a link to some coming soon bath. the link takes you to a page asking for donation of 25 cents thru paypal email address saveus@slushozoom.com a picture an octupus under it says wait 6 days for a responce. then an abstract picture under it.

i checked again today and now it says –
So sorry – but the bath fund will be closing soon

At the end of the world, after all my efforts were wasted.
What I would not have given for just a simple bath.

    PRIMA !

Look at me, you’re going to make it through this, I’m not going to let anything happen to you.

Wait 6 days for a response.

i highlighted the whole page and just like the main page a hidden message –
Not all things are as they appear

5.slusho picture and link to Slusho.jp
at the bottom under support is three dots.

    6. one is a link to city news.com a report about cacaine energy drinks and doctor warnings.

7.the two dots next to that take me to a pharmacutical company working on cholera…

    -coast one

  203. Gustavo says:

Hey guys, non of you had thougth as I?

Reading the history at slusho.jp I just imagined very naturally this environment:

“someone discovers the secret ingredient deep in the ocean – this someone starts harvesting that ingredient to make more slusho, it start to make a large amount of money, so he expands it.

But that ingredient is so weird, where does it come from? Why does it exist only there?

So they dig deeper and deeper into the ocean just for – damn crap – hit something they shoudn’t and awake something they even doesn’t knew existed. Maybe the source of the secret ingredient – and – holy crap, It’s Alive, IT’s Huge!”

    Nobody??

  204. Greatdark says:

supposedly not a remake and a more, again supposed, original idea. Thats what the producer is saying.

  205. ld says:

When read the slusho website it reminded me of a old horror movie called “The Stuff”. It was a long time ago when I saw the movie so I can’t remember the exact details of the movie but I do remember it was about this stuff a man found this stuff in the snow and it tasted good so he decided to sell it as icecream. Once people started eating it the taste of it was so good it was addictive but it also happens to be some sort of alien parasite that took over the brain and ate people from the inside out and the more poeple that ate it the bigger it got. It was along time ago when I saw it like back in the 80’s but thats what the movie was basically about.

  206. jj says:

This is quite ridiculous just about as bad as the cloverfield rumors out there. sheesh.

  207. Jimbo says:

    Chris.

    Are you kidding?

  208. Greatdark says:

Some things we, kind of, know. People at the party say It’s huge! It’s Alive! the statue of liberty’s head is ripped off and thrown. If someone were to say these two things then we would presume the opposite is whats normally seen meaning what they are looking at was not huge to begin with and never have been alive, such as a statue maybe. Statue of liberty is located in the water, albeit in a island, so we can also assume its something from the water. Slusho site tells us there was a special ingredient from deep in the water that made the founder grow, small fish to whale. The company in slusho is from japan rob is supposed to work at japan, one person is wearing a slusho t-shirt. I’m just throwing this in here but in the video game Rampage wasnt there a drink of some sort that gave you more health/life in the game does anyone know what the name of it was or what was on some of the bilboards? I really think we are missing something with the above clues though maybe a statue located in japan near or in water?

  209. mike says:

    OMG…ok i went to SLUSHOZOOM.COM and ther`s an email…support@slushozoom.com i think(check it for yourselfs) i send the email..and the replay was

    From: “Support! 6”

  210. tadecker says:

I KNOW this isn’t a Godzilla deal, but for the guy who asked “Gojira” losely translates into
    “Ape-Whale” or “Seamonster,” in Japanese.

I’m sure the Slusho thing is the cause of the trouble… The Monster was probably a direct result of Slusho…

As for the Haas dude: I bet he KNEW something was wrong with the Slusho… Think “The Thing (another movie)”, meets “Godzilla.”

  211. keith says:

    666!

I have a feeling this is going to be the kind of monster movie where we hardly get a glimpse at the monster.

  212. Monkey says:

Im sorry but this is just a coincidence….

  213. charlie says:

plus if you add 1 + 18 + 08 together you get 27 which is dividible by 3

  214. charlie says:

has anybody noticed that most things on SLUSHO!.jp are divisible by six or three? slusho is SIX letters. Theres trees in groups of THREE in the background. Theres SIX little eggs. There’s THREE clouds. There’s THREE stripes on the cup. There’s THREE downloads. you can’t drink just SIX. and the temp. in the newscast on the trailer said SIXTY THREE degrees. I may be crazy, but there could be a clue in there…

  215. Aimee says:

lol ye. that’s true. this is so interesting. I found another clue, or two, but they’re fairly similar.

If you go to a page, like flavors or something, this
big bubble appears that says “SLUSHO! UPDATING FOR YOU! YOU WILL COME BACK SOON!”
Instead of saying “Come back soon” it says “YOU will come back soon.” Shifty, eh? Perhaps just an odd jap. translation but ye.
Also, go to the home page and click the third bubble /egg thing from the left and when the frog appears, it says “You’ll come back for more slusho! soon.”

    Also strange.
Well, i just thought people might like to know that. :]

  216. Darklordmyke ZOOM! says:

Ok that may be, but it’s hard to say as of yet what this is… I’m just glad it exists so we can have fun finding out all the clues ourselves lol

  217. Aimee says:

The you cant drink just six thing is so strange.
It must me some sort of parasite or brainwash thing.

If all this hype and all the thought people have put into this is for a pokemon OR a digimon movie,

i might have to kill myself, LOL.
Now where does slusho come into the play of this?
I realize it was mentioned in the trailer, but what part of it was it?

  218. jeff says:

    He says…. “it’s alive, it’s huge!”

  219. A person says:

Hasn’t anyone notice in the trailer that a guy is screaming “It’s a lion! It’s huge!”?

  220. Paul says:

If you watch the trailer, at 1:30 I’m almost positive between the two buildings as the head of the statue of liberty is being thrown you can see a head moving around. It sort of like dinosaur-like. Although I doubt it’s a dinosaur

  221. PURGE says:

Well, You should definitely check this out:

    http://www.theweeklydonut.org/index.php/category/slusho/

  222. Lola says:

at the end of the history, it says:
everyone who drinks Slusho tastes norikos dream, and becomes a small whale like noriko– because you want to drink huge amounts of slusho!

    brainwashing? idk.

  223. ithinkitscthulhu says:

does paramount own the rights to the game “alpha omega”? if not then why did paramount have youtube remove the videos that play at ethanhaaswasright.com? there may still be a link between the 2…that website shouldnt be dismissed so easily…

  224. lifeseeker says:

ethan haas definitely doesn’t have anything to do with 1-18-08. it’s publicity for a new videogame, Alpha Omega, that has been milking the free publicity. check out this guy’s blog http://www.cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com. he has some outstanding proof against the haas/clvoerfield relationship. plus, aintitcool.com got an e-mail from jj abrams (the e-mail was suspicious at first, but further proof has confirmed it).

  225. chris says:

    in response to lovecraft

R’lyeh is a sunken city at the BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN, which would make sense considering the ocean theme, (Cthalhu lived in R’lyeh). i dont know for sure but i have a feeling the jj abrams was lying when he said that ethn haas and 01 18 08 arn’t the same thing, if anyone is as curious about this as i am go to ethanhaas.org and do the puzzles under athan haas was right, i have a feeling ethan haas slusho cloverfield/ 01 18 08 tie in together somehow

  226. Chris says:

Well, here goes for my whacked out findings on Slusho.jp:

Hear me out…I think it’s Cthulhu.

Visit Slusho.com and click the 4th link from the left, takes you to the feedback email address Satoshi@slusho.jp. So, a quick search on this Satoshi person reveals this Wiki info:

Satoshi Tajiri is a Japanese electronic game designer and the creator of Pocket Monsters, better known as Pokémon.

The creator of Pokemon! Tell me this is not happening. 🙂

Ok, you probably think I’m crazy now, but I’m reading more about the Pokemon creator, and guess what, he worked at Nintendo, on Pokemon, for 6 years. 6!

“Slusho! You can’t drink just SIX.”

Now, read the history page on slusho.com. There’s reference to “many towns and villages on Honshu”. Well, you guessed it, Satoshi was born in Machida which is located on Honshu!

Apparently there’s a Digimon (not so much different than Pokemon) character whose design is based on Cthulhu and named after Dagon. The character’s English name is “Dragomon.”

Most Digimon of all levels reside in the Digital World (sometimes called “DigiWorld” for short), a parallel universe created from data inside the Earth’s electronic communication networks. However, Digimon are sometimes capable of traveling to Earth – or as it is called in DigiWorld, the Real World. Courtesy of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ultimate_Digimon_(Part_1)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ultimate_Digimon_(Part_1)#Dragomon – this is the pokemon character designed after Cthulhu, his type is Sea Animal and his level is ultimate (perfect).

I read on another blog that the monster was a sea monster?

Oh, one more Pokemon coincidence, the kids on slusho.com (boy & girl = the two Pokemon kids) are under water. The Pokemon monster Dragomon is a sea animal.

Dragomon is a Sea Animal Digimon. His Japanese name is Dagomon as he was named after Dagon of Lovecraft literature known as the Cthulhu Mythos, and appearance is based on Cthulhu of the mythos.

Dragomon is a “Wicked God” referred to as “The Sinful Priest of the Ocean Floor”. He is thought to be born from a computer virus that infected the computers of ships and such, disrupting direction and course. When he takes a life, he holds the juzu (prayer beads) on his neck and seemingly mourns.

All these Japanese links, not to mention that Rob (in the trailer) is going to Japan, and his apartment motif is heavily Japanese.

It’s stretch, but lots of coincidences here. If this is not the case, I challenge someone to find that many clues from Slusho.com. 🙂

  227. Lovecraft says:

    Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn

“In his house at R’lyeh dead Cthulhu lies dreaming”

That which can eternal lie, cannot die and over strange aeons even death may die

    ~HP

  228. Jason says:

When you click on the feedback tab it states Slusho! happy, are you HAPPY? Tell Slusho! RIGHT NOW!! and then has an e-mail link that you click that reads Satoshi@slusho.jp. When you click this it prompts your e-mail and you can send an e-mail to Satoshi@slucho.jp. When I did this it was followed by an auto reply that reads “Slusho! loves your mails!! You Can’t Drink Just Six!!!” Not much info but, curious and adds to the interactivity of the website.

  229. James says:

I like the eggs idea… I’ve been thinking from the beginning some kind of infection or alien type parasite/host system. Plus last I heard, they’re calling the monster “the Parasite”.

The floating things, I believe, are bubbles, and possibly not relevent to the egg idea.

My hopefully thought is that this is some kind of true, really good, realistic apocolypse movie. It seems like something JJ would be interested in. Also I looked at the Bible verses from Revelations 1:18 and 18:8 (obviously 1-18-08). They say:

1:18 – I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

18:8 – Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

Perhaps this is all about an apocalypse, maybe not. Perhaps the mother is the one who “dies” and comes back, bringing a Hell on Earth, and maybe even the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. (Not literal horsemen).

Those are just some ideas…. I’d love to hear some thoughts on these. I’m getting all “Jim Carrey from ‘The Number 23′” here.

  230. Recka says:

on the Slusho! site when you read the “history” a fish and a horse swim by where the crab is holding the arrow signs to scroll through the pages…if you mouse over the horse and fish it shows thought bubbles with an oven mitt appearing in the horse’s thought bubble and a wedge of cheese in the fish’s thought bubble…anyone have any clue what the hell that’s supposed to mean?

  231. majin says:

Hey, maybe it’s an Americanized Gamera movie? Heh heh.

  232. majin says:

I believe that the name or some aspect of Gojira had to do with a whale. While I would not believe Toho to have breached their lock on allowing the U.S. to use Godzilla’s name, the Slusho website History does drop a few obvious hints. Like the bottom of the ocean comment. Hmmm.

  233. Felix Vasquez Jr. says:

Eggs or objects similar to eggs are prevalent on the website. The contents look like floating eggs or discs.

  234. Mark Bell says:

The music at that site is addicting.

Bet you can’t drink just six, eh? My guess is a gestating egg situation. Six full Slushos start the cycle and then, wham, monster birthed from human body. Monster grow bigger. And depending on worldwide sales of Slusho, monster take over…

Or, another random dead-end. It seems odd that JJ would base a movie around a throw-away joke in “Alias,” though it would tie the worlds together.

    Dammit, I won’t get sucked in. I can’t get sucked in. I’m in…

  235. Don Lewis says:

Hmm…seems like a scientist searching for the most delicious ingredient ever known to man found it at the bottom of the ocean. When he drank it, he became “a whale.” If this site’s really related to CLOVERFIELD, looks like we’ve got Godzilla meets “The Host” coming our way. Sweeeeeeeet.
