The Filmmaker Showdown, part of the TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival, April 8-17, has a reputation for advancing the careers of aspiring filmmakers. There are no boundaries on content, but all footage must be shot within 100-kilometres of Whistler. The grand finale of the Showdown displays the submissions of eight finalists at the TELUS Conference Centre, April 12, where an esteemed panel of judges names one winner, Best of Show. The deadline for guaranteed entry is April 1st.
