By Film Threat Staff | October 14, 2003

The 4th annual Reno Film Festival is taking place November 6-9. CineArts @ Riverside, the Eldorado Hotel Casino Showroom and the Nevada Museum of Art are the venues for the festival.
Originating with an emphasis on classic film and filmmakers, the Reno Film Festival will once again pay homage to the masters with classic screenings and celebrity appearances. Special guests include Oscar Award-winning producer John Daly, screenwriter/director Bob Gale, actors Christopher Lloyd, John Savage and John Saxon, and Oscar Award-winning editor Richard A. Harris along with a host of filmmakers, actors, directors and producers—from a number of the independent films being screened; all will be at the festival to introduce or provide Q&A of their films, speak to audiences about their experiences in filmmaking and talk one-on-one with fans.
The Reno festival will close with a screening of John Daly’s latest film “The St. Petersburg-Cannes Express” and fans can catch “Hoosiers” on the big screen Sunday, November 9.
Bob Gale will attend to introduce his new film “Interstate 60” and discuss his role as co-author of“Back to the Future.” Both Gale and Christopher Lloyd are scheduled to attend the screening of “Back to the Future” on Saturday, November 8.
Actor John Savage, producer Steven Nash and director Kevin Lewis will attend to introduce their thriller “The Drop” and actor John Savage will be on hand to talk about his role in “The Deer Hunter” screening Sunday, November 9.
But this just isn’t about the classics. There will be plenty of indie films for festival attendees to devour, such as “The Baroness & The Pig,” “The Nugget,” “The Last Round,” “Manna From Heaven,” “The Road Home” along with selected shorts from some of film’s top international directors.
