RAZZIE AWARDS "BERRY WORST OF 2007" PREDICTIONS

By Admin | February 22, 2008

Before the Academy Awards are given out on Sunday, the real awards season gets its fitting due with Saturday’s awarding of the Razzies. Who’s going to “win”? No way of knowing for sure, but here’s my picks…

Worst Picture
“Bratz”
“Daddy Day Camp”
“I Know Who Killed Me”
“I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry”
“Norbit”

Film Threat’s Prediction: “I Know Who Killed Me.” Why, when all the rest could easily take the top prize? Simple, this movie was so bad even those in the general public who made “Norbit” a box office success stayed away from it. That’s pretty f*****g terrible…

Worst Actor
Nicolas Cage in “Ghost Rider,” “National Treasure: Book of Secrets” and “Next”
Jim Carrey in “The Number 23”
Cuba Gooding, Jr. in “Daddy Day Camp and “Norbit”
Eddie Murphy (as Norbit) in “Norbit”
Adam Sandler in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry”

Film Threat’s Prediction: Nicolas Cage. He’s not an actor anymore, he’s morphed into a plague of cinema. All leather and twitches, this Cage fellow.

Worst Actress
Jessica Alba in “Awake,” “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” and “Good Luck Chuck”
Logan Browning, Janel Parrish, Nathalia Ramos & Skyler Shaye (A Four-for-One Deal!) in “Bratz”
Elisha Cuthbert in “Captivity”
Diane Keaton in “Because I Said So”
Lindsay Lohan (as Aubrey) in “I Know Who Killed Me”
Lindsay Lohan (as Dakota) in “I Know Who Killed Me”

Film Threat’s Prediction: Lindsay Lohan (either character). Just because Eddie Murphy got away with being a bunch of losers in “Norbit” doesn’t mean Lindsay can do the same thing. All she had to do was be innocent Lindsay (herself during her Disney reign) and wild Lindsay (herself everyday since) and she couldn’t even be convincing at that.

Worst Supporting Actor
Orlando Bloom in “Pirates of the Carob-Bean: At Wit’s End”
Kevin James in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry”
Eddie Murphy (as Mr. Wong) in “Norbit”
Rob Schneider in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry”
Jon Voight in “Bratz,” “National Treasure: Book of Secrets,” “September Dawn and Transformers

Film Threat’s Prediction: Eddie Murphy. He’s the worst part of “Norbit,” and he plays all the characters. Do the math!

Worst Supporting Actress
Jessica Biel in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry” and “Next”
Carmen Electra in “Epic Movie”
Eddie Murphy (as Rasputia) in “Norbit”
Julia Ormond in “I Know Who Killed Me”
Nicolette Sheridan in “Code Name: The Cleaner

Film Threat’s Prediction: Eddie Murphy. He’s lucky he didn’t get Worst Actor too, then it’d have been a sweep of the acting categories he was eligible in.

Worst Screen Couple
Jessica Alba & either Hayden Christensen (“Awake”) or Dane Cook (“Good Luck Chuck”) or Ioan Gruffudd (“Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”)
Any Combination of Two Totally Air-Headed Characters in “Bratz”
Lindsay Lohan & Lindsay Lohan (as The Yang to Her Own Yin) in “I Know Who Killed Me”
Eddie Murphy (as Norbit) & either Eddie Murphy (as Mr. Wong) or Eddie Murphy (as Rasputia) in “Norbit”
Adam Sandler & either Kevin James or Jessica Biel in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry”

Film Threat’s Prediction: Eddie Murphy. If you say his name three times while combing your hair in the mirror, he shows up behind you and re-enacts all of “Norbit” without the make-up. That’s actually kind of funny, but it becomes sad when he disappears in a puff of smoke, leaving behind his dignity and a copy of “Raw” on VHS.
