Your Independent Movie Guide

Many of us heard about Mike Judge’s (Office Space, Beavis and Butthead) latest project Idiocracy, and then we all wondered what the hell happened to it. Well, it seems in their infinite wisdom and still complete lack of knowledge on using the internet to promote films, Fox sat on the film and leaked it out over the weekend like an STD ridden rod. Why? Movie City Indie’s Ray Pride tries to find that out through an interview with Judge, cribbed from Esquire and his own review of the film.
The film is about a man (Luke Wilson) who awakens from a cryogenic induced coma in the future where he is now the smartest man on the planet. The thing is, he was just an average guy before he was suspended in time. The world has sunk so low that a common man from our generation is a genius in the future. Yeah, it’s a satire and yeah, Fox snuck it out in limited theaters. Try and give it some support if it’s in your area!
