“Q” MUSIC PROGRAM SCORES

By Film Threat Staff | May 20, 2002

Indie Film Composers (IFC) has launched their new “Q” program to help musicians and composers/arrangers in the film industry with their all-important demo reels, thanks to a limitless source of unscored indie films that can be used to practice matching music to real footage.
The idea for “Q” was born out of necessity. After running across countless composers who didn’t have enough experience shaping their music to actual unscored film footage, IFC took matters into their own hands, and the “Q” concept was born. The “Q” program is the offshoot of the IFC Boot Camp, which helps composers “maximize the effectiveness of their demo reel in an increasingly competitive environment.”
