PUPHEDZ: THE TATTLE-TALE HEART

By Eric Campos | March 4, 2003

I don’t think there’s a finer film version of Poe’s Tell-Tale Heart out there. Told completely with puppets and miniature sets, “Puphedz: The Tattle-Tale Heart” twists Poe’s story a bit to keep things fresh and to also add a touch of humor, which manages to fit in a slam on racial stereotypes. How you like that s**t?
The wooden puppets and miniature sets are brilliantly designed. “Puphedz” completely pulls you into its world for a half-hour, presenting a whole new creepy look at The Tell-Tale Heart. This is definitely one of coolest puppet films ever made. Don’t miss it!
