POP CULTURE OVERLOAD IN THE BACKSEAT

The Backseat Film Festival’s 4th installment of their monthly screening series is on Wednesday, February 11th at the Two Boots Pioneer Theatre (155 East 3rd street at Ave A) in New York City. Show starts at 9:00pm.
This latest program of will feature films made by pop culture junkies:
WORLD PREMIERE SNEAK PREVIEW: “Punk Rock Holocaust” – Doug Sakmann- 20min ^ Exclusive, never before seen teasers for the eagerly anticipated comedic slasher film produced on the Vans 2003 Warped Tour featuring many of the hit bands from the tour.
NYC PREMIERE: “THE RESURRECTION OF MICHAEL MYERS PT 1 & 2” – 40min ^ A set of Swedish cult slasher films that were theatrically released in Germany and Sweden only, over 10 years ago. These rarely seen gems feature all your favorite mass murderers; Freddy Kruger, Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, and of course, Michael Myers teaming up in a campy, slapstick homage to the horror genre.
NYC PREMIERE: Batman: Dead End – Sandy Collora- 15min ^ The Joker has escaped from Arkham and Batman must once again bring him in-once and for all. Unfortunately for the Bat, there is something even more sinister waiting in the alley for the Dark Knight Detective.
NYC PREMIERE: THE MAKING OF THE GREEN GOBLIN’S LAST STAND – Dan Poole – 60min ^ Produced in Baltimore for under $500 in 1992, “The Green Goblin’s Last Stand” was intended as a demo-reel for then Spider-Man director James Cameron, but soon became much more. See “The Making of The Green Goblin’s Last Stand” and uncover the secrets behind the death defying stunts, special effects and the steps that led to the best live action adaptation ever of Marvel Comics’ most popular super hero, SPIDER-MAN!
