His portfolio bulked up in the 1970’s with work for “Ant-Man” and “Killraven,” but it is now, as he finishes up the comic adaptation of Wagner’s “The Ring of Nibelung” for Dark Horse Comics, that Russell nears his career’s definitive moment.
