FRIDAY, JUNE 2 (7pm): INDEPENDENT ANIMATION AND DIGITAL VIDEO FROM AUSTRALIA AT MILLENNIUM FILM WORKSHOP (66 East 4th St). Featuring alien sex gods’ assault on earth, remote surveillance and oral sensations, a program of new stop motion, claymation and digital animation, plus a few breathtaking live action digital video shorts. Presented by Melbourne filmmaker Rhian Hinkley, along with animators Julian Savage, Fiona McKerrell, and Pete Circuitt.
FRIDAY, JUNE 16 (9pm): ANIMATED SHORT FILMS FROM SWITZERLAND AT ANTHOLOGY FILM ARCHIVES (32 Second Avenue at Second Street), organized by the FANTOCHE INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FESTIVAL; a diverse program of 15 films will be presented, including Cafe-bar, Kino and Replay by Isabelle Favez, who will be present.
SATURDAY, JUNE 17 (7 pm): RETROSPECTIVE OF SWISS ANIMATOR GEORGES SCHWIZGEBEL AT ANTHOLOGY FILM ARCHIVES (32 Second Ave at Second Street), also organized by Fantoche. Schwizgebel will present for this program of eleven of his stunning hand-painted films.
SATURDAY, JUNE 17 (starts at 9:30 pm): Don’t miss the OUTER LIMITS CLOSING NIGHT PARTY! At 56 Walker Street (bet Church & Broadway); with DJs, film/video projections, performances. Suggested donation $5. Volunteers needed to help with the party and screenings!
