Film nerds just can’t get enough Orson Welles. There’s two new books out on the under-appreciated filmmaker and even more intriguing (since no one reads books anymore) is a new documentary called “Searching for Orson.” The film is premiering at AFI fest and was made by Croatian filmmakers Jakov and Dominik Sedlar.
What sets this doc apart from other Welles docs is the fact the filmmakers were given incredible access to Welles’s former lover, Oja Kodar. Wait, not like that! We mean they got to talk to her alot. Perverts. Anyway, the film talks about Welles’s last project, “The Other Side of the Wind” and pretty much covers the latter part of his life.
