NORTHWEST FILM AND VIDEO FEST

The Northwest Film and Video Festival, which runs from [ November 2nd ] through [ November 10th, 2000 ] , gathers the best in shorts, video, documentaries, and all other genres from area filmmakers (those who hail from Alaska, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington) and screens the whole shebang in Portland.
All entered films received a critical once-over from the Festival’s panel of industry judges, and past guests have included Gus Van Sant, Matt Groening, and Christine Vachon. Post-judging, ten or so shorts are selected for the “Best of the Northwest Tour” program which travels the following year throughout the Northwest to media arts centers, museums, arts councils and universities.
