MIIKE HORROR FLICK BOOTED BY SHOWTIME

Takashi Miike’s installation of Showtime’s “Masters of Horror” series has been shown the door by the cable company. Why you ask? Too many dead fetuses in his episode titled “Imprint.” The hit or miss series has replaced Miike’s hour long flick with “Haeckel’s Tale,” an adaptation of a Clive Barker short story. It’s been directed by John McNaughton (“Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer”). Fear not though Miike fans, “Imprint” will be released direct to DVD where dead fetuses always have a home.
