MAGNOLIA PICTURES LOOKING TO CAPTURE DANISH CRIME TRILOGY

Magnolia Pictures is still waiting to see how the multi-platform release of Steven Soderbergh’s “Bubble” shakes out, but that hasn’t stopped them from trying to snag the North American rights to “The Pusher Trilogy.” The film is actually three films inspired by Shakespeare’s “Hamlet” and Magnolia President Eamonn Bowles would like to allow for various release patterns with the trilogy. According to Bowles, “it will be different in each market. Some theaters might play the feature-length films (which range from 96-105 minutes) back-to-back, while others might play them in separate auditoriums or on consecutive days.” You can read or not…
