December 2nd, 1999. Shots rang out from the Park Plaza Hotel while technology scion and very famous human Bill Gates spoke at a charity event in MacArthur Park. Gates was killed on the scene, and an LAPD officer later cornered the alledged shooter before a struggle led to the criminal’s demise. Or so we’re told.
“MacArthur Park” is a fictionalized documentary that revolves around this frantic, fictional day, and the many questions that go unanswered in the wake of the crime. Slated for fest appearances in 2001, the film is already gearing up for action with a newsletter, production notes, and, of course, the story…or as much as can be told right now. Want to know more?
