LARRY CLARK KICKS OFF 2006 SLAMDANCE

The Slamdance 2006 Film Festival kicks off on Thursday, January 19th with the US Premiere of writer/director Larry Clark’s latest film WASSUP ROCKERS, a skateboarding odyssey about a group of Latino teens who leave their East Los Angeles neighborhood to explore the wilds of Beverly Hills.

The festival, once again headquartered at the Treasure Mountain Inn (255 Main Street), will take place January 19th – 27th, 2006, in Park City, Utah – coinciding with the Sundance Film Festival. Slamdance will expand further in Salt Lake City, to include film screenings, screenplay readings and events in Sugar House.

The competition slate for 2006 will be announced on Tuesday, December 6th in Los Angeles at El Centro (6202 Santa Monica Blvd – at El Centro) from 6 – 9 PM.
