LAKE PLACID REVEALS FILMS

The Lake Placid Film Forum has announced its lineup of films for the 4th annual Film Forum held June 11-15, 2003. The Film Forum will open with a free community screening (and 70th anniversary screening) of the cult classic “King Kong.” The screening is being sponsored and hosted by the Lake Placid Center for the Arts at 8:00 PM June 11 and will include a preview of shorts from the official program.
The Film Forum will be screening two dozen indie films, five docs, over 30 shorts and two dozen classic films as part of their new Movie Marathon program of screenings through the night. The highlight of the screenings will include a Saturday night tribute to the legendary indie filmmaker Alan Rudolph, which will include a screening of his hit film “Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle” and his new film “The Secret Lives of Dentists.”
