JERRY v. DEATH

By Andrew Mullen | April 13, 2005

Jerry sits in his living room, watching TV, when he dies. He doesn’t realize he’s dead, however, until Death literally comes knocking at his door. When Jerry sees him, he tells Death that he doesn’t want to die right now and shuts the door. A second knock then comes. This time, it’s Death’s lawyer. Now, Jerry’s in REAL trouble.

Everything about this short is fine. Not wonderful, not awful, just fine. The story is amusing but a bit predictable. The acting is competent but not jaw-dropping. The humor is a bit juvenile, not as dark as one might expect. In all, an enjoyable endeavor from a talented group of filmmakers.
