JEREMY PIVEN…LEADING MAN MATERIAL?

By Film Threat Staff | December 1, 2005

“Give me my firebird keys!!!” Perennial buddy/co-star Jeremy Piven is in talks to star as the lead in “Furry Vengeance” for New Line Cinema. The film (with one of the worst titles since “Snakes on a Plane” crossed our radar) is said to be about an arrogant real estate agent from Portland, OR who tries to destroy a forest by developing it…just for kicks. The forest an it’s inhabitants strike back. Oh boy, we can just see the racoon/possum/squirrel/moose clamped-on-your-balls jokes now. Whee.

While it’s great to see Piven finally get top billing, why does it have to be this way? Ari Gold wouldn’t sign his guys to this film. It sounds like cheese. You remember cheese, don’t you? Oh yeah, “ch-e-e-e–ese.”
