JENNA FISCHER GETS SOME TROMADANCE KODAK INDEPENDENT SOUL

By Film Threat Staff | October 26, 2005

Jenna Fischer, star of NBC’s hit comedy, “The Office” will be the first woman to receive the Tromadance Kodak Independent Soul Award. This award is presented each year to independent directors for outstanding achievements in filmmaking. The award includes $1000 worth of film from Kodak.

The award will be presented at a press conference at the American Film Market held on November 4, 2005 at 10:30am at Loews Santa Monica Hotel. Fischer will be available for questions about her directorial debut, “LolliLove” which will make its market premiere at the AFM and will be released through Troma Entertainment Inc. March 7th, 2006.

In the tradition of “Waiting for Guffman”, “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, and “The Office”, LolliLove is a celebrity satire from writer/director Jenna Fischer that takes humor to the most outrageous limits possible. The film stars real life husband and wife team James Gunn and Jenna Fischer. Gunn is the famed writer of Dawn of the Dead and Scooby Doo, and the writer/director of the upcoming SLiTHER. Gunn and Fischer play James and Jenna Gunn, a wealthy couple who set out to end homelessness by giving each homeless person a lollipop with a cheery slogan on the wrapper.

This satiric mix of fact and fiction documents (or ‘mockuments’) James and Jenna’s hilarious odyssey as they attempt to solicit corporate sponsorship, overcome strains on their marriage, and enlist celebrity friends like Linda Cardellini (E.R., Scooby-Doo), Judy Greer (Arrested Development), and Jason Segal (How I Met Your Mother) as they try to prove how very, very, very, very charitable they are.
