INDEPENDENT EXPOSURE IN L.A.

Blackchair Productions has announced that Griffith Place Films will present the Los Angeles premier screening of Independent Exposure as part of their monthly Hollywood Shorts series. Independent Exposure, in its fifth year, is a popular microcinema-screening program of short films, videos and digital works from around the globe.
Opening the festival will be Modi’s “Pump with a Chump,” which features rock icon Henry Rollins givng workout lessons to a wimp. Information on the short, and Modi’s other projects, can be found at http://home.earthlink.net/~modivationfilms
The Los Angeles show will present the works of: Modi, Scott Kravitz, Shane Acker, Alina Chau Hiu Fan, and Dustin Woehrmann (Los Angeles) Mark O’Connell, Sue McNally, Evan Mather, Dylan Marshall Sisson, Serge Gregory and Stefan Gruber (Seattle) Jessica Grynberg and Jason Walke (Australia);Dave Johnston (N. Ireland) Tom E. Brown, Corey Rosen, and Alfonso Alvarez (San Francisco) Lisa Shannon (Portland); Nicole Koschma (NY) ; Phil Paternite (Ohio). Admission is free.
5:00pm – 6:00pm Filmmaker’s and Guest’s Reception, hosted by Joel S. Bachar of Blackchair Productions/Microcinema.com. 6:00pm – 7:30pm is the Shorts Program. Los Angeles Media/Industry Guest List: (323) 960-3385.
The Hollywood Shorts screening of Independent Exposure will take place on Sunday, June 11th, 2000 at The Gig – 11637 West Pico Blvd. (one block east of Barrington) in West Los Angeles. Hollywood Shorts is a monthly festival series introducing emerging directors, producers and their production teams to the Los Angeles film and television community through their short subject film, video and animation.
