We all remember the scene. Faithful “Episode I” line-standing fans packed up dozens of folding chairs, blankets and Darth Maul umbrellas to head home for their first shower in weeks. These very lines set the precedent for a certain kind of Star Wars devotion, and in true sequel form, the line is back.
The folks at LiningUp.net are ready to start the new line for “Episode II” beginning this Thursday, April 4th at 7PM at the infamous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Many veterans from the 1999 “Episode I” line, which was helmed by Countingdown.com, will be in attendance. The invitation is open to anyone, and the group will once again be raising money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. The line will stand true until May 16th, 2002 — the opening day for “Attack of the Clones.”
