GO FOR "BROKE"

By Film Threat Staff | July 14, 2000

Matt Goldman’s short film “Broke” has been accepted to the Seattle Underground Film Festival in October 2000. This high energy short film has been a part of the Yahoo! Online Film Festival, The Tahoe International Film Festival, and took home the Best Editing award at the Williamsburg Brooklyn Festival in May 2000.
Says the filmmaker, “Broke weaves through an Urban Web of financial, spiritual and emotional bankruptcy in a city where the laws of cause and effect can easily be mistaken for Karma. Four vignettes connect the otherwise unrelated players, all from different worlds in one little city. Using original music, Broke delivers gut-wrenching laughs, a few points of soft core philosophy and a high energy assault on the urban world.”
“Broke” is now available for viewing online in its entirety thanks to Reelshort.com. You can link to it from the “Broke” web site: [ www.brokefilms.com ]
