The American Screenwriting Awards is currently accepting submissions for their first annual screenwriting competition. Proceeds support The Literacy Fund, a charitable organization dedicated to ending world illiteracy.
The American Screenwriting Awards exists to award literate screenwriters with cash, prizes and exposure in the industry, as well as support The Literacy Fund. Submissions deadline is December 30, 2002.
Prizes are offered in four genres and include: $2,000 cash in four categories, introductions to studios, producers, agents and managers, one year scr(i)pt magazine subscription, Final Draft software and free entry into the Houston International Film Festival.
