FREE ADVANCED SCREENINGS

By Film Threat Staff | February 14, 2003

Film Threat is sponsoring FREE special advance screenings for “Poolhall Junkies,” “Dark Blue,” and “Cradle 2 the Grave” in the Los Angeles area. And YES, it’s probably a good idea that you’re in Los Angeles if you plan on going. Just want to make that nice and clear.
Poolhall Junkies – February 26th
Obsessed by the world of pool, Johnny (Mars Callahan) could be one of the best. But his mentor and “trainer” Joe (Chazz Palminteri), a shady hustler who decides how and who Johnny plays, is holding him back from his dream. When the day finally comes, Johnny breaks from Joe, which leads to only one thing – violence.
Dark Blue – February 20th
Set in the LAPD in April 1992, it takes place just days before the acquittal of four white officers in the beating of black motorist Rodney King and the subsequent LA riots. In this racially charged climate, the LAPD’s elite Special Investigations Squad (SIS) is assigned a high-profile quadruple homicide.
Cradle 2 the Grave – February 27th
When an international criminal (Mark Dacascos) kidnaps the daughter of a gang leader (DMX) as part of a diamond heist, it causes a city’s police to engage in an intensive search (led by a government agent played by Jet Li), aided by the father’s gangsters.
