FILM THREAT’S 2007 SXSW FILM FESTIVAL WRAP-UP (PART 3)

By Film Threat Staff | March 20, 2007

We’ve got a few reviews still pending, but it’s time to hand in our final 2007 SXSW Film Festival coverage. If you follow a link and the review doesn’t appear, don’t worry, it will within the next day or two. If it’s not listed at this point, we didn’t see it. But before we get there, I’d like to take this time to say thank you to all the Film Threat writers who covered the festival this year. We couldn’t have done any of this without you:

Merle Bertrand – Wish we could’ve seen more of you while we were in town, but you rocked (and are still rocking) the local coverage, so thanks for everything.

Sally Foster – You not only reviewed films, you also had a film play the festival, making for probably the coolest festival experience out of any of us.

Chris Gore – It’s not Iron Works if you’re not there.

Zack Haddad – Level 2 watched films back in Los Angeles and stayed on top of any and all SXSW news that found its way out of Austin.

Don R. Lewis – You may’ve been cursed during this festival (missed flights, lost luggage, lost laptop cable), but you still covered film upon film, working as hard as you partied.

Pete Vonder Haar – Vonder Threat carried that Texas load as only he could, and kept the seemingly endless nights at Champions interesting.

BLOG ENTRIES
All Mark’s opinions, all the time. This is how the festival rolled, as it happened.

SXSW 2007: And so it begins…
SXSW 2007: A Sim-ple Day Two…
SXSW 2007: I’m not much of a journalist…
SXSW 2007: So, uh… what happened again?
SXSW 2007: Because I know you want to know about “Knocked Up”…
SXSW 2007: Raining again…
SXSW 2007: And so it ends…

Thus wraps up another 2007 SXSW Film Festival. I know it sounds like we’re a bunch of whiney bastards regarding this year’s fest, but dammit, SXSW, we love you! You know we’ve got your back…
