Monster House: Even though Happy Feet made the most money and had an out-of-leftfield eco-message, we’re banking on the fact that the majority of the Academy voters do not actually venture out of their homes to see the movies, thus the box office and theatrical goings-on are not important and, therefore, Monster House, being the best out of the group, will win.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest: This was a hard category, because the majority of the films could win it. We’re going with PotC:DMC mainly because of the large-scale of environments it had to come up with… and the sword-fight in the wheel was awesome.

Children of Men: No other film comes close. There are specifically two single-shot sequences that should be seen by everyone on the face of the Earth, they’re so spectacular.
