It’s time for a change! Let Film Threat jam a hot rod of independent film up your Tuesday night with the Film Threat Screening Series!
Launching in style, the Film Threat Screening Series will debut at Hollywood’s own CineSpace on March 29th, 2005 for a debauched evening of indie film fun. Filmmakers, get a Film Threat critic drunk and find out what they really thought of your film. Film fans, enjoy an evening of quality drink and indie film. The series kicks off with a screening of Glenn Rockowitz’s “based-on-a-true-story” mockumentary, “Hacks.” The perfect counterpoint to most films about stand-up comedy, “Hacks” exposes what the industry is like for those comedians that are less than talented. We could say more, but we’ll let comedian Jackie Martling sum up the film in two words: “F*****G BRILLIANT!”
After the screening, mingle with Film Threat founder Chris Gore and a few other Film Threat staffers (including Film Threat DVD’s Mark Bell… if you’ve got a film you want distributed, talk to him). Buy them drinks, and they just might love you… or at least pass out in your arms. Then, if you are so inclined, stick around for CineSpace’s Indie Film Tuesdays celebration with live bands and DJs playing and spinning until the early morning.
Doors open at 7pm and the film (and a few other surprises) will get underway shortly thereafter. Seating is limited, so get there early to claim your spot.
