Lauren Bacall introducing it and I can definitely live with these clips. I understand the theme of the evening now: Show various genres of films to pad the time.
But film noir…I’ll forgive these asides now because it’s my kind of movie.

Oh, that’s nice. Wrap it in the trailer style of the ’30s and ’40s and don’t reveal titles like it was done with the biopics. That’s really not fair. Why not educate the people about these movies? They should be idealistic and therefore crazy for once. A good movie buff would recognize them right off. But the rest out there deserve to know what they don’t recognize.
