That lovely sentiment was expressed by a very inebriated woman trying to get into her car as I walked back from the SXSW opening night party to my hotel room. As I indeed walked by her, I am apparently a bitch-a*s ho.
So, yup, SXSW is in full swing and we’re here covering the fun. Got a great interview with Jay Floyd, Teresa Willis and Aviva for the film Forgiving the Franklins that you can watch over at Film Threat Video, and overall the vibe is everything I remembered and enjoyed from last year. Genuinely nice people having a blast, and I can’t wait for the rest of the days to unfold. Many more video interviews to come, and I’m sure Eric, Gore, Pete and Don will start blogging (when they get in… I am apparently the early bird of this evening, calling it a night at 1:45am to go back to the hotel room and blast Sleater-Kinney while rubbing my naughties on Eric and Don’s clothes).
For the record, and I’ve said it to his face, Matt Dentler has put together another incredible festival, and the programming is unbelievable. We leave Tuesday, but the great movies keep playing for the rest of the week and… damn you, Dentler, you’re too good!!!
