ENTER THE TAOS TALKING PICTURE FEST

From [ April 5th ] through [ April 8th, 2001 ] , the Taos Talking Picture Festival of Taos, New Mexico, will screen an eclectic mix of over 150 new independent films and videos, including features, documentaries, and shorts. The Festival is currently accepting submissions in the above formats until their deadline on [ January 5th, 2001 ] , and all entries should have been filmed within the last 18 months.
The Taos Talking Picture Festival was founded over a century ago in an artist’s colony, and their current programming reflects this innovative and multicultural heritage. Festival highlights include multiple tributes, Hispanic and Native American programs, and a Media Forum featuring panels and workshops. The completely unique Festival centerpiece is the Taos Land Grant Award of 5 acres of land “to be awarded to a narrative, documentary or experimental film or video, 70 minutes or longer, which takes a fresh approach to storytelling and/or the cinematic medium.”
